"why are patrolling by yourself?"

"jesus taeyong you scared me." i let out a shaky breath before facing taeyong who stood with a flashlight and a loaded gun, the perfect supplies for patrolling. "donghyuck is obviously unavailable right now."

i began to walk as taeyong ambled beside me, smiling unsurely while waiting for one of us to speak, and i did. "taeyong, you don't have to come with me. my time is almost over." i explained, but it seemed like patrolling with me wasn't his plan at all.

"i know, that wasn't really the plan anyway." and i was correct. "i told you i want to spend more time with you, right?" his small pause gestured me that i should reply with a nod, or a single yes, but i stayed in silence. taeyong took my silent treatment as a yes.

"i want to show you something." he spoke enthusiastically. i could feel my heart severely ponder after watching taeyong unlock the closed gates. taeyong was breaking his own rules, but i guess if he owns those rules, it wouldn't be any trouble. he's in charge anyways right?

"taeyong what are you doing?" i questioned nervously, tightening my grip on the gun i had while scanning our surroundings, i was afraid we would be caught. but be caught by who? the only one i fear to be spotted being an exception is taeyong, and here i was breaking the rules with him.

"i want to show you something." he repeated, not clear enough. as the gates were unlocked, he turned his head around and connected his eyes with mine. "do you trust me?" he offered his opened palm.

i, without any hesitation firmly grabbed his hand. "yes."
