soyoung

the next day, donghyuck had informed the others about the mysterious walker entering the hideout. everyone seemed so anxious about it, but for me it was just a harmless walker. they've been discussing about it for a quite while now.

everyone was huddled up, endlessly discussing, even johnny and mark... i know those two would have done something else, such as fooling around rather than talking about this "important incident" that happened.

luckily i wasn't the only one that got excluded.

i went up to sicheng, he was still sitting and staring out of the window. it worries me sometimes, how can a person do that for a whole day every day.

i quietly sat beside him, joining by looking out of the window, giving a brief silence before i start talking. "do you have any idea why it's so important to them?" i queried making him nod his head.

"i do, but it's something you don't need to know." he explained, eagerly making me want to inquire what it was all about already, but i shrugged off it anyway. asking sicheng is like vaiding his personal peaceful privacy.

i've always found sicheng mysterious, he doesn't really talk and i want him to speak out about the things he can't get out. he just seem like a person who has a lot inside him, but since he's quite "shocked" after this apocalypse, it all got stuck like a clump.

"morning winwin~" taeil sang, appearing out of nowhere, causing the poor sicheng to sigh, then making it even worse when yuta joined. "apple?" he asked, cocking an eyebrows and offering sicheng a fresh apple.

sicheng reluctantly accepted it.

"morning soyoung." yuta scooted close to me, flashing a bright smile that cause me to melt, absolutely into liquid.

"taeyong needs to talk to you." he tilted his head toward the boy with grey mullet hair.

i averted my eyes away from yuta and glanced at taeyong.

he was already looking. he stood on the other side of the room, loading his gun and sliding it down his pocket before sheathing his dagger. "oh, okay i'll see you later then." i said, not looking at yuta but continued staring at taeyong, just like what he did.

once i reached him, we stood briefly staring at each other. he calmly pulled up a pistol from his pocket and offered it to me. it was the pistol KAhr P9, the one i loaded yesterday. "you're coming with us." he explained, not quite clearly.

"what?" i tilted my head, slowly grabbing the pistol and pulling it towards me.

"donghyuck said you were pretty good at fighting walkers, so we would like you to join our duty by going out and searching for useful things." he said, looking at doyoung and jaehyun who was currently nodding their head, agreeing to what he was saying.

"that was... that was one walker taeyong." i said, refusing to come and eyed donghyuck who was unexpectedly agreeing with the others. "by the way, just because you saved my fucking life doesn't mean i like you now." donghyuck remarked with a glare before turning his heel and leaving us.

"unless you don't want to come." taeyong paused and shot doyoung a glare. "i'm a bit unsure about this idea too, but doyoung has been suggesting it." taeyong explained, he didn't really like the idea of letting me out, i bet he wanted me to stay here, in this hideout where everything is much more safer than being out there behind the doors.

doyoung's eyes rolled upwards, scoffing and kneeling down to grab his backpack. "come on taeyong, don't be so anxious... your little princess will handle herself." as he walked passed me, he gave me an elevator look with the same smirk on his lips. "she's a badass anyway."
