soyoung

i spotted chan standing with his gun pointing right at my head, i felt very concerned and tensed, because why would he? the chan i knew would never do that, because i knew chan's a reliable person. i've met him first in the camping trip we went to, the first impression he gave me was strongly amazing that made me directly think.... woah, now he is the man. we were always in groups, he never left anyone behind, made sure that everyone was part of the team. "stay beside me." i remember him demand authoritatively, it's dangerous to get lost in the forest he said.

so chan can be trusted, i'm 100% sure.

"chan, what are you doing here?" i questioned with my agitation decreasing, because i knew chan wouldn't pull the trigger. he wouldn't be that type.... right?

i really wanted to trust chan, i really did because all he showed me before were kindness.

but when i saw hyunjin sneering at me, i've realized now that chan was one of them, that chan was the leader of stray kids.

if it were taeyong's enemies, then i won't have faith for them.... but we're talking about chan here, i know him as the kind-hearted one.

"this wasn't part of the plan, right?" a young lonely boy queried, standing with a lighted flashlight, changing his gazes at hyunjin and chan, a bewildered expression on his face. when his eyes landed on mine, he blinked and reluctantly flashed a smile, showing off his glittering braces. i felt my heart slightly melt.

i ignored his kind attitude and looked back at chan.

"yes jeongin, this wasn't the plan at all." chan replied kindly to the youngest, the gun continuously pointing at me and knowing that they were the enemy, i felt extremely troubled because he could actually pull the trigger... since i'm on taeyong's side.

honestly i don't wanna pick sides, both the taeyong and chan i knew are warm-hearted.

"we didn't plan bumping into this ugly ass bitch." hyunjin hissed, smiling secretly while tightening the hold he had around somin's neck. she only let out gurgles, losing air with her head almost turning purple. i briskly stepped forward. "no... don't do that." i calmly said, unexpectedly hyunjin obliged.

"please let go of me!" somin screamed, begging as her teeth sank down on hyunjin's arm skin, causing him to recoil. "ahh! you bitch." hyunjin growled, aggressively pushing the girl down to make her go on her knees. "don't move." he commanded, pressing a gun on her head as somin began to silently cry.

"chan," i started and moved closer to him. "please, lower the gun down... what are you doing here?" i asked impatiently. i wanted to focus on what chan was saying, but hyunjin seem to endlessly harass somin, poking her vigorously with the tip of the gun, pulling her hair, screaming at her and honestly i didn't know why it disturbed me. as much as i want the girl harmed, maybe i just never really liked violence against human.

"stop hurting her." i turned my head to glare at hyunjin.

"if you don't want her dead, then come with us." chan said, pulling down his gun and tucking it in his pockets. "then i will explain everything, i promise soyoung." he offered his hand, i unsurely looked around, gazing at a serious hyunjin, at a petrified somin, at a bewildered jeongin. i knew the boy was with them, but he seemed as confused as i was.

"why should i trust you, can't you just take somin instead?" i blurted making the girl scoff, i could hear her getting offended. "oh god, how could you?!"

"i'm sorry, i didn't mean to say that." i apologized, not sincerely at all and looked at chan. "just let us go, i know the things and your relationship with taeyong but you need to leave otherwise consequences would happen and they would be down here in any second. so please, let somin go and we'll leave without mentioning all of this." i tried, i tried to threatened him but it didn't work.

"not happening, i won't let my plans flunk like this."

"what about this." chan turned around. "somin, we will let you go but vow me you won't tell anyone about this... you seem like that type of person to do that." a smile slowly formed on chan's lips, somin desperately wiping his tears off as she stood up, trying to escape from hyunjin's grip. "yes! please! i promise, i won't tell anyone! please, just let me go!" she cried like a giant scaredy cat.

"how could you somin-"

"and how the fuck do we know if she's telling the truth?" hyunjin scoffed, continuously pushing her down the floor.

"please, trust me! soyoung's never my type, i've always hated her ever since jungwoo brought her in this hideout! i tried everything to get rid of her, but nothing worked, never... and i will promise you, i won't tell anyone, i won't tell taeyong, i won't tell just let me fucking be!" she screech, glowering at hyunjin who tried to harm her but fought back. "fuck off!" she wailed.

"hmm, how could you not like soyoung?" chan questioned, cocking an eyebrow before turning around to glance back at me and tug me closer to him. his hand tightly and firmly squeezing on my arm.

"i knew she would be that type of bitch." hyunjin spat before pushing her away from him, she fell on the soft grass and cried, breathing heavily as she properly stood up.

"wait..." i spoke, feeling chan's grip tightening as i tried to escape but couldn't. "what the fuck? let me fucking go chan-"

"make sure to not tell this to anyone, understood?" chan asked, raising an eyebrow as somin unsurely nodded his head. "please... i promise, just don't... come back." she begged.

"i can't vow you that, we have a lot of plans." chan said. "take her jeongin." chan flung me on the innocent boy, leisurely caught me and hugged me from behind, his arms wrapping around my waist with his eyes shut close... i could tell he was trying his best to not let me escape, but that would have been easy if he didn't hug me as if i was his love of his life leaving him.

"okay... fine, i won't tell! i will just say she left without telling me anything, that she left because of taeyong or something just please let me go and stop pointing that gun on me!" she screamed, staring intensely at hyunjin who was blankly standing with his weapon positioning in front of her.

hyunjin smiled, casually pulling the trigger as she got shot on the lap, making he tremble down the grass with tears streaming on her cheeks. somin breathed heavily out, clutching her bleeding bullet wound.

"what the fuck hyunjin!" chan screamed, angry. "was that necessary?!"

"yes." he simply replied.

"we... we have to go before someone sees this." jeongin stuttered, and before i knew it, my vision went black after chan's fist contacted with my face
