soyoung

being outside was giving me anxiety, i didn't really feel safe and comfortable. the streets were the same as i remembered, chaos and destroyed. vehicles were flipped upside down, leaving broken sharp glasses from the window splayed on the floor. dead bodies rotting the air, making it unfresh and unclean.... who knew the world would end up like this?

"stay close to me." taeyong demandly hissed. his nails were almost sinking down my skin, tugging me roughly closer to him as i bumped into his body, grunting in slight pain. "um taeyong it hurts." i whispered, eyeing how his grip was getting tighter and tighter.

when doyoung noticed, he turned around and eyed taeyong. "seriously give soyoung some space, no one would steal her away from you."

as taeyong let go off me, a bit annoyed by his friend, my red hand was fortunately slowly turning into my normal skin color again.

noticing that taeyong's mood was off, i knew i shouldn't speak to him so instead, i walked up to doyoung, leaving taeyong all by himself at the back. i should give him space, maybe that's what he needed for now.

when doyoung had noticed my presence, he decided to talk. "seriously soyoung, you're making taeyong act weird." he began. "why does he treat you like a fragile glass?"

"did you know that our names are actually quite similar, but instead of an s you have a d. soyoung and doyoung."

doyoung glared down at me, his face absolutely expressionless, gesturing me how unamused he was at the moment. "stop trying to change the topic." his eyes squinted.

"i don't like the topic, why don't you just ask him instead of me? i'm as clueless as you are." i huffed, frowning and looking down the ground. "okay fine, i'm sorry for always bringing this topic up." he apologized.

before i could speak another word, i suddenly bumped into jaehyun's body, bouncing backwards which caused me to cluelessly look up. "what the-" i rubbed my head and saw him, quietly standing and facing the other way.

"ty, have we checked this store before?" jaehyun questioned, eyeing taeyong who was right behind me and doyoung. "no." he replied briefly.

after that, we quietly entered the store. the lights were flickering, empty and rusty. the store wasn't a foodstore, it was more likely an interesting shop where you could buy interesting things... they might be useless, but keeping one would be fascinating to have.

"okay we should split up." jaehyun suggested, turning around and pulling his gun out.

doyoung nodded and took a step closer to me. "okay, me and soyoung will go and check the first aisle." doyoung announced making the brunette nod, but of course one didn't agree.

"you and soyoung? no, i'll take it with her." taeyong disagreed, not approving what doyoung had planned. taeyong carefully grabbed my hand, slowly pulling me close to him and causing doyoung to chuckle.

"listen, i asked her first." doyoung grabbed on his rifle, swinging it upwards and placing it on top of his left shoulder.

"but i know she's a lot more comfortable with me." taeyong smiled sarcastically, making doyoung scowl. "yeah, so comfortable you almost killed her blood circulation- "

"okay maybe i should take her with me." jaehyun interjected with his loud deep voice, causing the two to finally shut their mouth. scared, i instantly went up to jaehyun as we both left the two, bickering at each other.

"those two are the real tom and jerry." jaehyun sheepishly chuckled, stopping his tracks when a shelf filled with books engrossed his attention. he kneeled down and began to flip through the pages, a small smile pasted on his lips.
