soyoung

"don't you think the game was inappropriate?" for some what reason, taeyong has been talking to me a lot lately. the whole time we've been walking, he had always ambled nearer to me that our hands softly touch each other, just like two feathers rubbing against one another. everytime doyoung would turn around to check on us, taeyong wouldn't hesitate to glower him down and block me from his sight.

"not really... it was just a game taeyong." i replied briefly, in taeyong's ears my response was curt even though it really wasn't. i could tell he was slightly annoyed by how i disagreed with him.

"come on taeyong, if you were there you would've enjoyed it." doyoung joined us, ambling beside me and when taeyong saw him, he immediately squished between me and the taller boy. "you're just jealous you weren't in my position to say that you would marry and fuck soyoung, right?" doyoung had this thing about teasing taeyong till he explodes in fury.

taeyong was silent, as silent as a class during exams. he was fiercely looking forward, noticing his hands tightly clenched into fists made me worriedly gulp a lump and eye doyoung who was smirking. goddamn doyoung, you really don't have any fear to see lee taeyong mad huh? everyone does, i guess we can exclude him.

"honestly we all know you're so possessive when it comes to soyoung-"

"you shut the fuck up!"

a chill ran through my spine when he yelled once again. it made me shudder like a freezing cold wind waking someone, my blood ran cold and a bead of sweat dripped down my face. i did expect taeyong to yell, but never did i expect him to pin doyoung on a pole with a gun pressing against his neck.

i can tell, just like the others said.... he is aggressive.

"hey!" jaehyun screamed after turning around. "both of you get your shits together and stop acting like fucking kids!" how come no one warned me that a mad jaehyun was that hot? jeez, this man giving girls heart attacks with a goddamn warning?

doyoung smiled and taeyong roughly let go of him. moments like these, i don't want to be with them so i give them space. expectedly, i ran to jaehyun.

he noticed my presence, but didn't bother to look. "soyoung may i ask you a question?"

"of course."

"and please.... answer honestly." jaehyun continued after i gave him a reluctant nod. "is there something between you and taeyong?"

choking on my own saliva, i burst out a nervous exhale and aggressively shook my head. "what? of course not, that's ridiculous!" my tensed voice tone cause jaehyun to roll his eyes, as if he knew i was lying and i wasn't! me and taeyong aren't in a relationship, i can confirm that!

"true or not, i know at least both of you have something for each other and don't even deny it... it's clear enough to spot." he rose an eyebrow as i awkwardly looked away, focusing forward and tightening my grip on the weapon i had on my hands. for now on, it's best to focus on what we're doing. i really tried but jaehyun kept talking.

"honestly, i can tell taeyong has been very distracted as a leader. he's focusing on you a lot lately, doesn't really care about anything but you." jaehyun explained. "is it a bad thing?" i dumbly asked making him scrunch his nose, like a sign of a yes and no.

"kind of." he briskly said. "but let me tell you something. if taeyong's into someone, he becomes very possessive."

...

just like every other day, we enter an empty place to search for food and frequently it's always impossible to succeed. either there weren't enough or they were expired. sometimes i think we would die because of starvation not because of those monsters, we can fight very well and protect ourselves but never can we always feed our tummies.

"okay, collect as much food as possible." taeyong said, that sentence was repeatedly heard everyday when we're out of the safe zone.

everyone obliged as i roamed around the empty store. seriously nothing was in here, if i continue, it's as if i dumbly wait to make food magically appear in my sight. i really hope we could find any food, people in the hideout needs it a lot. i've been putting all my attention on donghyuck's safety, since i was the cause of his stab i'll do everything to repay him. giving food and being beside him with my support probably isn't working for him, come on! my existence is bothering that kid.

"taeyong, every place we visit is empty. can't you change the plans? because visiting places that are clearly empty is not working at all! it feels like we are here waiting for food to magically appear." i was stunned by how doyoung thought the same, in the far distance i could hear him yell.

"i have to agree with doyoung, we can't repeatedly do this because it's becoming less possible to find food to eat for us." jaehyun agreed.

"well what the fuck do you want me to do, to say? what about you come up with plans! there's nothing left for us to do than this!" taeyong answered. i could feel him, feel how he was stuck in that dark gloomy place he mentioned yesterday. how he was handling a lot of heavy things all by himself, how he is suffering and being suffocated with a pendulum of darkness.

i sighed and shut my eyes tightly, not enjoying the atmosphere in the room so i immediately spotted a backdoor and exited.

i didn't want to hear all their shoutings, it was too much, really too much.

before i could breathe properly after hearing them, an unexpected walker flung on me as we both landed on the rough floor.

you would expect a scream right? just like in the movies? but for me i could never, maybe i was too shocked i couldn't even muffle a sound out which i guess is a good thing, being loud at this generation is deadly.

the walker was a man with profusely pale skin, he sat on my stomach and tried leaning down to connect his sharp teeth with my flesh, but i succeeded to prevent him from grabbing his arms and trying to push him away. since both of us had the same level strength, we remained in that position.

i turned my head to the side and saw a piece of broken glass, laying on the floor.

i knew letting go of him with my one hand was risky since my strength would decrease, but i had no other choice but to do it. once i did, the walker was so close to my neck with his opened drooling bloody mouth, ready to bite the life out of me. luckily i managed to reach out for the glass, firmly squeezing it so it wouldn't slip my palms but the sharp edges awfully sank down my hand, blood gradually gushing out as i vigorously stabbed the walker's head.

i yelped and pushed the broken glass deeper in and the dead man was finally.... dead.

his body collapsed on top of me and i hurriedly pushed it off.

i stood up and observed my bleeding palm, afterwards brushing it off my skirt and continued searching the area.

i spotted a shed house and immediately walked towards it, noticing the ajar door made me walk in with vaguely hesitation.

once i fully entered, i scanned for any walkers but luckily there weren't.

the shed was bigger than i expected, there was a big mattress laying on the floor and basic home items were designed such as lamps, desks, cooking materials and... shelves filled with food!

it seemed like someone has been living here, and knowing that made me change the plans. i really was going to take those food, there were so many but they belonged to somebody else and i would never steal from survivors... unless they deserve it. i always think if i was them, i would return and see how all the food i had collected was gone. sucks.

i turned my heel around and was about to exit, but two men were blocking the way. and those men weren't one of taeyong, doyoung or jaehyun.
