soyoung

i woke as if it was an emergency, as if sleeping had become a dangerous thing. my heart beated fast and there was a buzzing in my brain and together they were as panic with jump-leads. maybe the reason why i was so startled was because of the yellings that awoken me.

"don't come up with any bullshit, now tell me what happened to you!"

"i told you, nothing happened! it was from the night patrol yesterday, i just accidentally tripped and fell on a sharp branch! is it that fucking hard to believe?!" i could tell it was donghyuck, donghyuck who tried convincing his hyungs that it wasn't really a boy so called jisung who stabbed him.

i lazily fluttered my eyes open, slowly my blurry vision was turning normal and i could see everyone surrounding donghyuck who sat with his back resting on the wall. everyone seemed so apprehensive after seeing a painful stab on his stomach, eve sicheng was watching instead of sitting by the window.

"doyoung hyung, donghyuck is being 100% honest! please believe him." jungwoo defended.

"please." jaehyun sighed. "i don't think a boy like donghyuck is dumb enough to harm himself in that way."

"oh look soyoung is awake." somin pointed out, everyone turning their eyes to look at a sleepy and tired girl. "hey wake up moron!" she yelled profusely before placing her foot on the desk and roughly pushed it, causing me and the chair i sat on slightly slide backwards.

"stop that somin!" taeyong growled and relentlessly tugged somin away from me, i stayed unbothered and sat up, giving her glares after rubbing my puffy eyes. "why don't you ask soyoung? she slept here with them, i bet she was in charge with all of this!" of course somin was targeting me, over and over, always me, always soyoung but unfortunately this time she's correct.

"do you have any idea what happened to donghyuck?" taeyong queried, inside his eyes i could see...trust. i could tell he was trusting me, that he believed i had nothing to do with all this gruesome mess donghyuck was in. but i think it's the time to... disappoint him.

"yes, and it was all my fault." i confessed and stood up from the chair. everyone was calm, very calm, they were just waiting for me to explain deeper.

"explain then." dahye impatiently rose her eyebrow, giving me the i don't trust you look.

"last night, i snuck out and broke a rule. i know leaving this hideout alone, at night and without any permission is forbidden but i had to." i paused and looked at taeyong, i could see a hint of disappointment in those intimidating eyes. how foolish, he must've thought.

the adrenaline flooded in my system like it's on an intravenous drip, right into my blood at full pelt. i was scared, i was frightened.

soyoung, what do you do when you feel like this? of course.

i slowly let my fingertips touch the bracelet around my wrist, squeezing them tighter and took a deep inhale before continuing to explain my childish plan i had yesterday. "i left to get back something that belonged to me, something very important and i never thought it would lead us to this."

doyoung seemed unamused, the way his eyes dilated as he stared at me as if i was joking, as if i had gone mad, as if i was crazy. "seriously? you risked your damn life for that stupid bracelet? and even got donghyuck stabbed? wow." he shook his head, eyes rolling upwards and arms crossing in front of his wide chest.

"is that bracelet really precious for you soyoung?" i could see how taeyong wanted to sound nice as possible, but i could tell he wanted me to see his other side where i would quiver in fear.
