Zoe's POV
Micheal is here picking me up to get me home. I got discharged a few hours ago. The doctor told me that I'm all fine now and I can go home, but he also told me about the self harm thing which is sucks that I have to go to counselling.
Michael took our stuff out the room and walk me out the hospital. We walked towards his car when I saw a man sitting on the hood of his car eyeing us. He took a hit on his cigar and smirking at me, why does he look familiar?
When I look more carefully, I got chills through my spine and backed away a little bumping Michael who putting the bags in the car. Tears starts to fall down my cheek , I can't breathe like Im choking.
"Baby, are you okay? You look pale and why are you crying?" Michael asked me wiping the tears on my cheek. I can't able to speak and just hold him close to me. Michael find where I'm looking and he started to let me inside the car. What is my dad doing here? Why is he here?!
"Zoe baby, shhh it's okay I'll get you home okay? Everything's gonna be okay" he started the car and drove away.
"i-its my dad... He's here Michael. Why is he here? How did he know that I'm here?" I asked him but he just looked at me and then back to the road. And why does Michael seems know my dad?
"did you know that he's here?" I asked him again but I didn't get a response
"say something! Please!" I didn't mean to shout but I got frustrated and confused.
"calm down, I'll tell you everything later when we get home. Okay? " he said taking my hand and kissed it. I feel bad about shouting at him. I just nodded and look outside the window. After 8 years he'll just gonna show up? There's too much emotions right now, I feel angry, I feel dissapointed, sad, confused...
Michael's POV
I put the bags down beside Zoe's bed and put her to bed. We saw her dad at the parking lot of the hospital earlier. When I saw Zoe's reaction to his dad I immediately take her home. I should have told her that his dad came while she's out the first day she got hospitalized, but I just don't know how or where to start cause I know that topic is very sensitive for her.
She sat down and patted the space on her bed wanting me to seat beside her. "can you please tell me what happened?" I'm looking down on my hands trying to figure out how to tell her about it.
"Well, the day you got hospitalized I asked Luke and Ashton to look after you for a bit so I can take a shower cause you know... And take some stuff that I'll be needing while waiting for you to wake up. And then Luke called me that someone is here saying that he's your dad." I looked at her and I can't figure out what she's thinking right now. I took her hand and rub it a little.
" A-and when I got to the hospital he was acting like an ass asking who the hell we are to you and why are we there. I told him that we're your friends and we're all you have cause your grandparents passed away a few days ago and he just doesn't care about them calling them bad things and stuff." and by that I can tell that she's mad but there's a tear in her eye.
" trust me I tried to be nice but after he insulted your grandparents and talking like a dick to us I just... I explode and shout at him"
"what did you tell him"
(Flashback)
"who cares about those two old fuckers! I'm here for my daughter!" his voice starts to get louder and it got some attention towards us. He really just call Zoe his daughter when they abandoned her 8 years ago. And he disrespect Zoe's grandparents, how dare him. I want to fucking punch him on the face with that annoying face he have.
I balled my fist and Ashton noticed it. He patted my back trying to calm me down but it didn't work. "YOU FUCKING HAVE THE GUTS TO CALL HER YOUR DAUGHTET WHEN YOU HER PARENTS ABANDONED HER 8 YEARS AGO AND ENDED UP IN A ORPHANAGE! DONT FUCKING GIVE ME BULLSHITS! I DONT GIVE A FUCK IF YOU'RE HER DAD CAUSE BASE ON HER SHE DOESNT HAVE A FUCKING DAD ANYMORE. SO BETTER GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE BEFORE I CALL THE POLICE!" he about to punch me when Luke and Ashton stopped him. They call security to take him out.
"WE'RE NOT FINISH! ILL GET BACK AT YOU AND ILL FUCKING KILL YOU ALL!" I just watched the security get him out and his voice fade away when they turn on the corner. I sighed and just looked down.
(End of flashback)
"He's such a fucking dick!" she got up out of anger.
" He got the guts to fucking go here and call me daughter after they abandoned me?!" I hugged her trying to calm her down.
"H-he even threatened us Mikey. I'm scared." she broke down into tears making me to hold her close to me even more
"Shhh, it's gonna be fine we'll figure things out. For now I need you to be strong and brave for me is that okay babe? " she nodded and I stroke her hair. She doesn't deserve any of this. I want her to be happy with me not this.
I kissed her head then wipe her tears
"I'm here I won't let that man near you or any of us. I promised you that I'll protect you and I mean it. I love you so much, Zoe" I looked at her teary brown eyes and kissed her. I'll do anything for her. I'll even die for her.
