Once the test is over, Mr. Servell asks everyone to return to their original seats.

He teaches a new lesson and then he hands us a worksheet to do while he starts grading the test.

I finish my worksheet easily and then I put my head back down.

"Pst, Daya?" A familiar voice says.

I put my head up and I see Jose standing in front of me.

"Hey, what's up?"

"Can you come help me with this worksheet, it's pretty confusing!"

I nod my head and Jose pulls up his chair in the front of my desk.

To the best of my ability I try to explain the worksheet.

The whole time I feel someone looking at me but I choose to ignore it.

I already know who it is, no point in looking.

"I think I get it now Daya!" Jose exclaims. "You're the man!"

I look at Jose with an eyebrow raised.

"The man?" I tease him.

Jose laughs and I join him.

"The woman!"

Jose dabs me up and I watch him walk back to his seat next to LaMelo.

I see them talking and then Jose glances at me.

I can tell they're talking about me.

Putting my head down on my desk for what seems like the hundredth time today, I rest my eyes.

Thirty minutes later, Mr. Servell starts talking.

"I am very shocked about these test results..." Mr. Servell states as I put my head up.

He starts passing our the test and I get me and LaMelo's.

An A?! He didn't miss any points...

"What did you guys get Daya?" Tracy asked.

"An A, what about you?"

Clarissa gasps causing both me and Tracy to look at her.

"What?" Tracy asked irritated that she interrupted the conversation.

"LaMelo got an A!" Clarissa exclaims.

Clarissa turns to LaMelo.

"We got an A Melo!" Clarissa says while hopping up and hugging LaMelo.

I kinda helped with that A...

LaMelo hugs her back a smile on his face.

I look away from them because it hurts to see him like this with another girl.

After school I walk to my moms car.

As soon as I open the door she knows I'm upset.

"What happened today?" She asked.

I shake my head.

"I don't wanna talk about it right now," is all I say before hopping in my moms car.

"Are you sure?" My mom asked while driving away from my school.

"Mhm,"

The whole way home I look out the window.

I seriously don't understand why I'm so upset about this!

LaMelo can be friends with anyone he wants.

I just don't understand why he's been acting so different and rude to me.

It makes me-

"Daya, get out of the car!" My mom yells as she closes her door.
