The Stars Don't Hold Our Fate (Jotaro x Reader x Kakyoin)

3: Where Are We?

"Y/n!" B/f shouts at you while frantically shaking your arm, effectively waking you from your deep slumber.

"What? Five more minutes. I'm tired. Stop hogging the blanket you jerk," you go to grab the blanket, only to realize there is no blanket. You open your eyes to fight with B/f for taking it, but as soon as you open them, you're instantly awake.

You look around the area and realize there had been a small crowd forming around you and B/f, as the two of you had been lying down in the middle street as if it was your damn bedroom. You begin to breathe heavily as anxiety blooms in your chest since you had no idea where you were or how you got there. You quickly try to understand and rationalize the situation so you take in your surroundings. It was still nighttime, or very early in the morning. The streets looked very different than what you were used to, they were dirt roads instead of blacktop concrete and all the strangers standing around were also dressed differently than what you were used to seeing.

"Wha-What the hell, where are we?!" You ask, scooting closer to her, seeking comfort from a close proximity.

"Do you really think I have an answer to that? I know just as much as you do. Why do you think I woke you up, dummy?" B/f stands up and offers you a hand, "Let's get up. I don't know where we are or how we got here but we should ask someone for help." You nod and take it, deciding it was best to follow her lead. "Hopefully, someone saw us and can tell us what happened."

You both start to look around the immediate area for someone to ask, but the strangers that had once been staring on in curiosity, now whispered to one another and closed off their body language, most likely confused and unsure of yours and B/f's intentions due to the odd behavior you both displayed just a few seconds ago. You see someone point and look you two up and down in confusion and lift and eyebrow and look down at yourself. You blush and try to cover yourself up and when you realize you were in your sleepwear, meaning that it definitely wasn't something you'd wear out in public for all to see and gaze upon. B/f doesn't seem to notice or care and she stares right back, looking for a solution to the situation.

"Um, hello?" B/f speaks up, looking around at the quiet strangers. They all look at you two without a response and then back at each other while whispering incoherently so you couldn't understand.

"Maybe we should look for someone who didn't see us wake up like this," B/f says to you quietly.

You nod in agreement and shift your weight to your other foot, only to feel something at your feet. You look down at the floor and see a bag. You didn't know why it was there with the both of you, but you had a gut feeling you should take it. You bend down and pick it up, and next thing you know, B/f grabs your wrist in her hand and guides you behind herself as she walks into a shop across the way, and goes up to the man behind the counter.

"Excuse me, this may sound rather strange, but my friend and I here are a little lost and we need a little guidance," she says politely. "Could you please be so kind as to tell us where we are?"

The man gives her a strange look and begins to speak quickly, and a knot begins to form and twist in your stomach. You couldn't understand a single word he was saying. He was speaking to you in another language you couldn't recognize. He looked just as confused as you and B/f were, and his tone of voice sounded as if he was trying to say he couldn't understand you either.

"Oh, uh, I'm sorry but do you happen to have someone around who speaks English? O-Or perhaps Spanish?" B/f politely asks the man.

The man suddenly raises his eyebrows like he understood something. "English! Yes, English!" He immediately calls out for someone and a man comes out from a room behind the back of the counter. The men briefed speak to each other before the other man clears his throat and speaks to both of you.
