7: Shield

"Wha- Y/n is that your stand?"

You look down and see your stand, a medium-sized silver shield with a simple black engraved line design, with a green gem in the middle. It was placed on your right arm. 'What the heck? Am I a shield stand? Lame. I thought I'd get a combat fighting stand. What the heck can a shield do?'

"Uh, I think so? I can feel power emanating from it," you say staring at your arm. "Let's try and see what it can do." You continue to just look at your stand in disappointment.

'Maybe it's too quick to judge? Perhaps it can do more than I think it does.'

"Alright. Try to attack me again, okay?"

"Okay. But I think I should get you off guard again. You won't always get a countdown opportunity and in combat, ya know?"

"You're right. So like are you gonna do it now or-"

B/f throws a powerful punch in your direction and on instinct you move your arm with the shield on it to protect yourself. The stand detects danger and immediately forms a shield prison around you. You look around and are amazed at the sight. 'Wow, I'm still able to see everything around me while inside this massive round ball.' You look down at your arm and notice that the shield on your arm is still there. 'So I can use multiple shields at the same time? Or perhaps there's more power that hasn't been discovered.'

"Hey, B/f? Are you able to see me? Like can you see what I'm doing in here?" You wave your hands at your best friend from inside.

"No. I can't see anything in there. Can you see me?"

"Yes, I can. Woah... this is sorta cool! But how do I get out of here?" You start to panic a little. Maybe you could talk to your stand? Like, give it orders or commands? "Shield prison... uh, release!" The shield around you quickly disappears after saying that. 'Well, that's good.'

"Woah. Hey, I have an idea! What if you can do the same for other people? Like if I was in danger, could you shield me?" B/f asks.

"Oh, good thinking. Let me try." You look at B/f, you imagine DIO coming towards her.

"Shield Prison!" You command. Suddenly, the same ball that was around you earlier was around her. 'Woah. You really can't see anything in there.' That was really good so DIO couldn't see and predict your next move. "Release." The shield disappears once more.

"I wonder what else this thing can do. Maybe there are different types of shields? Can this thing be used for offense and defense?" You begin to think of different types of shields you've seen in movies, shows, and from books, you've read. "Uh, let me try a different command. I think I remember the name of a shield I've seen before." You get into a stance. "Airstrike shield!" On command, a green transparent shield appears in front of you and a burst of air pushes B/f away from you with brute force. "Oh no! I'm sorry, B/f! Uh, B/f?" You can't see where they went and a voice behind you startles you.

"Yeah? What's up?" B/f had used her stand to teleport behind you before she could hit the wall. You don't scream but you're heart rate spikes and you jump away out of fear.

"Geez, B/f. You're gonna give me a heart attack."

She ignores you and walks up to your new shield. It still remained in front of you after the air pushed B/f away, this was an offensive and defensive shield. Perfect. She gently touches it and it still doesn't disappear, it looked like a glowing transparent light, but you are able to physically touch it. It was tangible.

"Hey, maybe you can use these shield-like platforms or stairs. Try making another one but horizontal instead of vertical," she says.

You say the command once more and another shield comes out but this time on its side horizontally. You walk up to it and stand on it. You walk forward towards the edge and take another step, another shield comes beneath your foot.
