The Stars Don't Hold Our Fate (Jotaro x Reader x Kakyoin)

32: Death 13 & Stronger Bonds.

"You know, I've lived a pretty bizarre life, and I've even survived 3 plane crashes, but I've never, EVER, seen someone make friends with a group of camels," Joseph says trying to cheer you up from saying goodbye to your fluffy friends.

"It takes someone who's really sweet and kind to be able to have animals trust them like that," Kakyoin says as he and Jotaro walk on your sides.

"Did you ever ask them how they sleep?" Jotaro asks, remembering back to the hotel you last stayed in.

You smile and look up at him, "If I remember correctly, it was you who was supposed to ask them.... but yeah, I did. It's all in the legs."

After your sad departure with Gustavo and Kenny, you and the group walk in the direction of the hotel Joseph found for you all to stay at. To lighten your mood, you all cracked jokes with each other on the way, even though you were all exhausted and in desperate need of a bed to sleep in. As you approach the front of the hotel, you're hit by a sudden thought.

'Wait! The next enemy stand user... Death 13 is right after The Sun, and he strikes right away... he goes after Kakyoin first, but I have a gut feeling he's going to go about it different this time.'

You all walk into the small hotel, but you speak up before Joseph could get any rooms. "Hey Joseph, before you get the rooms, I need to tell you all something," you inform them.

"You already told us why rocks make the best pets," Jotaro heavily sighs, he was tired and he thought you might be in the joking mood.

"I still stand by what I said, but that's not what I wanted to tell you guys. All jokes aside, I have to tell you guys about the next enemy we are going to face next, because it's a pretty strong stand and he's going to strike tonight."

"Damn it, we just got through dealing with the literal fucking sun and now we have to do more..." Polnareff whines.

You and nobody else could blame him though, you literally spent all day traveling in the sun and even though the stand fight didn't last long, having to keep your guard up all the time was totally mentally draining.

"I know, I wish we could have a break too, but it's not up to us. In real talk though, this stand user is quite an odd one, the user is actually a baby."

"WHAT?!" The group says in unison.

"Oh, who are you guys kidding?! If animals can be stand users then why couldn't babies," you stop their dramatic antics.

"Animals? As in plural? We've only seen one animal user though and it was the ape," Kakyoin says.

"Don't worry, there are plenty more stand users and even a few animals we'll see on this journey," you assure him not so positively. The group groans and sags at the mention of more enemies. "Back to the battle at hand, this next enemy has a special type of stand that transports you into a nightmare world when you fall asleep, and he can kill us in our sleep. In the show, he first targets Kakyoin but after Polnareff wakes him up, Death 13 just goes after everyone. But this time around, I don't think things are going to go down the same, especially if DIO warned him about my knowledge. In order to defeat his stand, we all have to fall asleep with our stands out so they'll be transported with us into the weird nightmare world. I think the best call, is for us is to sleep in the same room just in case. He's a little unpredictable, but I think we'll be fine if we do as I said."

"We'll discuss this more once we have a room," Joseph says. You nod in agreement, and he walks to the counter of the hotel registry and he returns a few minutes later with a single room key.
