50: Last Train Home

"Jotaro?" You call him. He looks down at you, waiting for you to continue. "Let's go home."

"Let's go," he says with a head nod. He holds your hand and you both begin to walk away.

As you make your way back to the group, you suddenly feel a sharp pain shoot throughout your body and you fall to your knees, crying out as you hold your heart.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Jotaro asks concerned as he gets on the floor with you. You don't respond, because you can't. Instead, you pull out your stand and your screen. You look at your stats and see they were extremely low, your health meter almost completely gone.

"Old man!" Jotaro calls out as he looks at your screen. You start to see black spots in your vision, and you completely fall down on the ground. More silence...

"Y/n, you did it."

You wake from what you thought was sleep and you look around. You see the oh-so-familiar gleam of light. Wish Lady.

"You finished the journey and defeated the evil that dwelled and refused to accept defeat long ago," Wish Lady continued.

"We did," you say proudly, but still sullen.

"Since you've completed your goal, it is time for me to leave."

Your eyes shoot up and you look at the light. It was sad to see her go, but you knew it had to be done.

"Thank you Wish Lady. For all that you've done for me. You granted me happiness, and that's a debt I can never repay," you say sincerely.

"There is no need. I chose to help you even after seeing your future. It was my choice and it was the right one at that. You can be free of your past miseries and start a new life with the ones you want to share it with most."

You start to fade in and out of the place you were in.

"It's time for you to go. This is goodbye Y/n."

"Thank you."

"Always remember, the stars don't hold our fates..."

The sound of a heart monitor fills your ears, causing you to wake from your slumber. 'Where am I?' You slowly try to open your eyes, but your eyelids felt heavy. Once you manage to slightly open your eyes, you're immediately blinded by the light being cast. It takes you a moment to adjust, but you finally get your eyes to stay open and you look around the area, to see you were in a hospital room, in a hospital bed, hooked up to many machines. 'Geez. What the hell happened?' You continue to look around the room, and see you're best friend at your side, asleep.

You go to touch B/f to wake her, but you soon realize you had several IVs attached to you. You continue with your plan until one of the wires attached to you knocks some things off the nightstand by your bed, causing a loud ruckus. 'Shit, just my luck...' B/f's head suddenly shoots up and she quickly looks around the room. Her wide eyes land on you and she gasps. B/f sits up straight and grabs your hand.

"Y/n?"

"Yo," you say with a smirk, but your voice sounded raspy and dry. You clear your throat and look around the room for water. B/f realizes this first and hands you a small cup of water from a tray hovering above your bed. "Thanks," you say, and you start to drink.
