Laurens POV:

I was leaning against a car and I looked over at Daryl. I was just looking at him, studying his posture and the way he stood there talking to Rick. I miss him. I know it's weird but I really do. It's been years since we've talked or spent time with each other but I miss him.

I continue too look at him and he turned to face me. He held my stare and we just looked at each other. I looked into his eyes and all I saw was pain, and maybe love. No, it can't be love. I closed my eyes and shook my head. I turned and walked away from him because I couldn't stand to keep looking at him when he looked at me like that.

I walked over to the car I was riding in and sat in the back seat. I pulled my bag that I had stuff in onto my lap. I opened it and pulled out a folded up picture that I always kept with me.

It was a picture of me and Daryl going hunting. It was the first time I had ever been and somehow I talked him and Merle into taking me. Somehow Merle had taken a picture of me and Daryl walking and holding hands. (Picture on the side)

I looked at the picture and felt tears come to my eyes but I brushed them away. I looked over at Carl who was leaning against the other window asleep so I was quiet. I looked over at him. He was young but I knew that he was strong and I knew he could handle himself in a tough situation. But, he was still just a child and he had to grow up so fast in a world like this.

I closed my eyes and took a deep breathe. I need to stop thinking and worrying so much. I decided that I was going to take a short nap since we were stopped. So I laid my head against the window and let sleep take over my body.

Ricks POV:

After I finished talking to Alex I decided she could stay with us. She seemed like we could trust her so I told her she could stay with us and she would be riding in the car with me.

I had Daryl gather everyone around in a circle so I could let them know we would be moving to the place Daryl had found. Everyone was here except Lauren and Carl.

"Alright we found a place that we can go to and possibly make a permanent place. We leave in five minutes." I said and people nodded then walked to their cars.

"Where's Lauren and Carl?" I asked Daryl

"Sleepin in the car."

"Alright well Alex is riding in the car with us so I need go get everyone in the car."

He nodded and walked over to his motorcycle. I walked up the car I was driving and saw Lauren and Carl where asleep while Laurie and Alex where standing outside the car.

"Alright ladies get in we need to get a move on. Hop in the car."

They got in the car after waking Lauren and Carl up. Alex was in the middle in the back and Carl and Lauren where on the sides looking out the window. We waited a couple of minutes so everyone could get in their vehicles. Once everyone was in their cars we pulled out and started our journey to the house Daryl found. Him leading the way.

Alex's POV:

Don't get attached. Just go in get what you need and leave. No ties because then you get stuck and you can't leave. This is what I was told my whole life and this is the advice that had kept me alive for so long.

My mother always told me to stay away from people who said they cared because in reality they never did. But, this group seems different. I know it's stupid to say but they just seem nicer and trustworthy. I've been told before that I'm to naive and maybe I am but part of me wants to stay.

The only reason I came out from the woods is because I needed some supplies and they have plenty. I just need to wait for the right time before I take anything and run off. So I'll stay with them until then and then I'm gone.

Laurens POV:

The ride only took about twenty minutes to get to the place we would be calling home for a while. It was an old house in the middle of a field. It needed some work but it would be safe enough for now.

We pulled the cars inside the fence that was around the house and piled out. Daryl and Rick locked up the gates and came back over to us.

"Me Daryl Merle and Glenn are going to go clear out the house and I want Lauren and Andrea on watch." said Rick

Everyone nodded their heads and went about their business. Me and Andrea walked over to the gate tho take watch.

"I don't think we've properly introduced ourselves. I'm Andrea." she put her hand out for me to shake.

"I'm Lauren. Nice to meet you." I shook her hand and gave her a smile.

"If you don't mind me asking why didn't you stay with your family back at the farm?"

"I'd rather not talk about it and just keep watch if you don't mind." I said.

"Okay sorry for asking." she walked tho the other side the fence.

A couple of minutes later they came out of the They had cleared it out and we moved everything in. We borded up windows and made sure all the entrances where blocked. Then everyone got assigned a room. Their where enough rooms for everyone to have their own or share if they wanted to. I picked a room on the second floor at the end of the hallway.

I opened the door and their was a queen size bed in the middle of the room. There was a large bay window on the right side of the room that faced the fields. On the left side of the room there was a large bookshelf and chair with a dresser. The bed was covered with a dark purple comforter and throw pillows. It was also a canopy bed, the canopy was black.

It was a very beautiful room. I say my stuff on the chair and walked over to another door that was by the bed. I opened it and saw that it was a giant closet and bathroom. I walked back out and plopped down on the bed. It's the end of the world and I just walked into my dream room.

I got comfortable in the bed and let sleep take over my exhausted body.
