Trigger Warnings: Alcohol Abuse

Logan has been practicing extra hard at his driver's permit. I think ever since Damion got his license, he's always been a little jealous. But ever since Damion drove them to their first college lecture the other week, Logan's face turns three sades lighter when anyone of us gets in the car with him.

I don't think it's the fact that Damion's a bad drivers, but speed limits are more of a offer to him. However, Logan finally his license. I don't think he could be happier, and Patton was so proud of him.

Currently, I was sitting on the couch, on my phone. My head was in Roman's lap while he and Remus were playing Mario Kart. Patton and Damion were in their respective rooms and KC was in the kitchen, baking  by the smell of it. Logan had a class this morning, so the house is pretty quiet without Patton constantly talking and loving on him.

"Hey, Virge!" I heard KC called from the kitchen. I tore my eyes away from Tumblr, looking up to see Roman's face, still glued to the TV. I pulled myself off his lap, trying to not disturb the heated battle going on between the two Prince brothers.

My feet scooted into the kitchen. I slipped my phone into my pocket, seeing KC searching every cabinet we owned. "What's up?" I asked, leaning against the corner. I must've scared them, as when I spoke, their head shot up, bumping into the cabinet door above them.

"Damn!" They shouted with a laugh mixed in the middle.

"Sorry." I said, watching them rub their head.

"It's fine. No harm done." They assured me. "Hey, if you were baking powder in your Mother's kitchen, where would you be?" They asked. I struck a blank. I didn't know the first thing what we stored in our cabinet, let alone baking products. I shrugged, feeling bad that I couldn't help more.

"How bad do you need it?" I asked them.

"Well, the cake won't rise without it. It's pretty important." They sighed.

"The supermarket probably sells baking powder, right? That's where all the happy grandmas go to shop and they need their baking supplies." I said.

"Are you calling me a grandma?" KC questioned, putting their hands on their hips.

"I never said it, you just did." KC laughed, reaching for their wallet on the counter.

"I'm sure Damion would drive you." They suggested. I just shrugged.

"I'll take my bike. It isn't that far from here." With that, I pocketed their money and headed for the door. I kissed Roman before I left.

I walked over to the garage, taking the handle from the bottom and lifting. Lucky for me, it was unlocked. The door flew open, showing our six bikes and KC's car. Mother bought all of us new bikes so we could ride around. I think she was a bit nervous about how we would all fare with driving. But so far, out of the two of us that can drive, we're doing okay.

I grabbed my bike from the cold garage floor. I took out the kick stand, when I saw how sunk in the front tire was. That's when I remembered: the front tire popped. I sighed, letting my bike hit the floor. How am I supposed to get their now? Sure, I can walk. But I'd melt in the Florida heat before ever coming home with baking powder.

A car honk rang in my ear, making me jump. I whipped my head towards the sound, seeing Logan pull up to the curb. I chuckled a little, feeling silly for letting my nerves get to me. "Going somewhere?" He asked me. I nodded, running towards the car. I opened the door, comfortably plopping into the passenger seat. I could see Logan's mountain of textbooks and notebooks in the back.

"Supermarket. KC needs baking powder." I explained.

"Can we stop by the gas station. I should fill the car up, because I know Damion won't." He told me.

"Yeah, sure. Let's go to the one on first street."

"Whatever you say." Logan hummed. He put the car back in drive and eased back into the street. The ride was smooth and Logan an audio book playing in the background. I had to navigate for Logan a little, seeing as he hasn't quite memorized our small town yet.

We pulled into the gas station, Logan picking the closest pump to the store. I got out of the car as he started pumping the gas. I waited for him before we both entered the store.

Our gas stations weren't anything fancy, but they acted as an everything store. If you go in for one thing, you're probably gonna leave with a shopping bag full of shit you didn't know you needed.

I started wandering down the isles, seeing everything this place had to offer. They sold shirts, every different type of cola, and mountains upon mountains of bubblegum. Logan was following behind me, but I lost him after trailing down the third isle.

I started to get bored. I checked my phone, the car should be full by now. I looked around, still not seeing Logan. I sighed, beginning my search.

I looked down each isle, ending up at the end of the store. My heart dropped when I saw where Logan was. He was in the refrigerated area, his eyes locked with the alcoholic beverages. I scrambled over to him. "Logan, you okay?" I asked. He didn't answer me. I felt my heart speed up. I waved my hand in front of his still face. "Lo?"

He gasped, tears falling down his face as he blinked back to life. "Fuck..." He whispered. He removed his glasses and wiped his eyes. He finally looked at me. "I'm sorry, Virgil. I shouldn't be here, I know that. But...god." He muttered. He turned back to the alcohol, pointing to a can of something. "That was my favorite. Just one can and I'd be gone."

"But Logan, that isn't who you are anymore. No one is pushing you to succeed beyond what you're capable of. Patton cares about you. We care about you. And I speak for everyone when I say, we'd hate to see you fall down this road again." I explained to him.

"I know, I know. I...I know." He sighed, putting his glasses back on. "Why am I like this, Virgil? Did five months at SJMH really do nothing for me? Is this really all I am?" He asked, pointing to the drinks behind the glass.

"Fuck no. Listen to yourself. Logan, you are so much more than your past mistakes. Sometimes, life throws us reminds of our past. And while they may seem inviting, you've grown. And you know better. Don't sell yourself short of that." When I finished, Logan scooped me into a hug. I was a little shocked, but I returned it.

He pulled apart, glancing at the alcohol one last time. I could see the memories flashing in his eyes. I could he was trying to disregard them. After that, he turned to me, nodding his head. I nodded back, reaching my hand out. He took it, proudly walking with me out to the car. He took the gas pump out of the car and closed the tank.

We drove to the supermarket, playing some My Chemical Romance loudly through his speakers. We went to the supermarket, taking hardly anytime at all the grab the baking powder. KC lucked out. They only had one left.

He pulled the car into our driveway. As soon as we opened our doors, Patton had rushed out to greet his boyfriend. They sweetly kissed before Patton helped Logan remove the books from his car.

We all walked in the house. I passed the baking powder to KC, a grateful smile on their face. "Thanks, Virge. You're a lifesaver." I shrugged it off, returning to the couch to scroll through my Tumblr once again.

"You guys were gone for an awful long time. What else did you two do?" I heard Patton ask Logan from the dining table.

"Oh...just talked." Logan responded.
