Trigger Warnings: Mentions of Kidnapping, Mentions of Murder

"What?" Was the first word Roman forced out of his mouth. "Our grandfather?! That can't be our grandfather!" He kept protesting, trying to fight the truth he knew was real. Remus just shook his head, placing his arm against his propped up knee casually.

"It is, Roman. That's the one and only, Argus Prince." Remus said with a heavy sigh. Meanwhile, the police officer was writing all of this down, not wanting to almost put the wrong guy in custody again.

"What is he doing back on the streets though? We were told he'd never get out!" Roman cried, starting to get emotional. I took my hand in his, doing everything I could to try and calm him down.

"I don't know. But I do know this: he's dangerous. He's in our bloodline after all. I don't know what he wants, but he's probably after us again."

"Wait wait wait; again?!" Patton remarked, cutting off Remus.

"Unfortunately, yes. This is not the first time this has happened." Remus sighed, scanning the ground with his eyes.

"No!" Roman suddenly burst out, letting go of my hand. He turned around, taking his hands and running them through his hair, pulling it at some points. "He can't be out again. This isn't real. This isn't happening!" Roman yelled.

"What else could it be, Roman? You saw the pictures. He looks just like us!" Remus shot back.

"I'm afraid he's right." The officer pointed out. "I just cross referenced somethings in the police database and, they've been looking for your grandpa for a couple days now." This only set Roman off more. He pounded his foot on the pavement, wracking his head side to side, trying to force something out.

"This can't be happening!" He screamed again. I rushed over to comfort him. I put my hand gently on his shoulders but he swung his shoulders back. I fell back in surprise, being caught under my arms by Logan.

"Roman, please calm down." Logan instructed. Roman turned back, his eyes glazed over with terror. He looked at Logan, seeing me fallen in his arms. The Prince brother broke down crying, taking me from Logan's grasp and scooping me into a hug.

"Remus, maybe you can tell us what happened the first time your grandfather got out." Patton said, keeping his voice down. He agreed as we all gathered around the pavement. I sat Roman on my lap, hoping he'd calm down a little. The officer got back in his car and drove off, heading in the direction of the police station.

"When I was 14 and Roman was 13, we were in a temporary home of a kind, widowed mother. She was always very honest with us and she loved us, but one day, she stopped letting us watch TV or go on our phones or do anything like that. I decided to confront her about it one day and she burst into tears.

"She explained to me, that our grandfather had broken out of prison and it was all over the news. She didn't want us to see it and freak out or be afraid. She was worried he was coming for us, but she had no concrete proof. Our grandfather is a murderer. He killed our grandmother. We found that out the hard way.

"He did find us one day. He figured out which high school we went to and broke inside. He kidnapped Roman and held him for hostage, threatening to kill him if I didn't come out and follow his orders. The teachers kept Roman alive until police arrived." Remus looked over to his brother, seeing his was nervously playing with my fingers.

"He doesn't talk about that day. Ever. I never thought this would be an issue again. Turns out, I know nothing." Remus concluded, ending with a little chuckle. I looked down at Roman, running my hand through his hair. His eyes looked into mine. They were so hurt and broken. How have I never seen this before?

"I'm so sorry, Roman." I muttered, kissing his forehead. He mumbled in pleasure, returning the kiss with one on my hand.

"I don't get it. Why would your grandfather want you back? Especially now. It's been 5 years." Logan pointed out making Remus shrug.

"I don't know." He paused, thinking it over. "We shouldn't be out here anymore. Come on, let's go home where we're all safe and together." I helped Roman to his feet as we all piled into Logan's car.

I could tell Roman was still tense. He hadn't let go of my hand and he became whisper quiet. I can tell he's going through somethings in his mind. We drove home in silence, letting the sounds of whatever was on the radio be our background noise.

I was starting to worry about my boyfriend. He's never this quiet. I just want him to know he's okay. I ran my thumb over his knuckles, wanting to soothe him, but he's better at it than I am.

He pulled into our driveway, quietly making our way out of the car. I went up to the front door and unlocked it, revealing our empty house. Patton ran inside and started pulling our baking trays. Logan went into his room, coming out with a copy of Catcher in the Rye. Roman laid on the couch and silently tapped at his phone. While Remus sat next to Roman, close to the window, occasionally poking his head out the curtains.

Everyone was on edge. The air was so thick, I could smell it. No one looked at anyone. No one talked to anyone. Everybody was in their own little worlds of nerves and tension.

I sat next to Roman, draping his feet across my lap. Remus peaked out the curtains again, his foot bobbing up and down. "When's Damion supposed to be back?" He asked aloud. Suddenly, his phone rang. I could see it was Damion's caller ID as he whipped out his phone. Remus answered, "Hello?"

"Remus, is that you?" Came a gruff voice from the other line. I could tell it wasn't Damion's. But who else would have his phone.

"Who is this?" Remus inquired. Logan and Patton started gathering around, everyone's interest peeked.

"Remus...it's grandpa."
