Darkness surrounded you, making you feel uneasy. The walls seemed to be alive - shifting and melting into place. You could feel your heart hammering against your chest, the situation you had been placed in causing your nerves to sky-rocket. You tried to call out but found that your voice had abandoned you, as all that left your throat was a strangled gasp.
"You're a hard one to track... (y/n)." A voice suddenly rang out, the sound somehow echoing off the walls making it seem like it was all around you. "I must admit, you are stronger than I anticipated - not as smart, however. Running off with your little heroes; did you really think they would be able to protect you from me?" You started to shake, slowly turning yourself around in a small circle to try and catch a glimpse of whoever was talking. The voice was achingly familiar and sent a chill racing down your spine. The speaker started to walk as you heard footsteps begin to circle you. "You've put all your trust into them, yet you still don't know what they did to you - why you ran away..."
You froze at this declaration. While you didn't want to admit it, the voice was right. Why did you run away? Why did you forget everything? What... what did the Star Sanses do?
"Ah, now that's an excellent question. And thankfully, one I can answer," the voice told you making you jump. "It's time for you to wake up... I'll see you tonight."

You sat up with a start, gasping as a hand flew up to your chest. Your whole body felt numb and was shaking uncontrollably. Tears threatened to fall as you sat there in shock.
You barely had time to process your thoughts when your door was thrown open and Dream rushed in, looking at you worriedly.
"(y/n)? Why are you so distressed? Is everything okay? Did something happen? Are you not feeling well?" he fussed over you, quickly coming over to your side and preforming a check. You swat him away, only feeling slightly bad as he sent you a conflicted look. "(y/n)?" he said quietly, tilting his skull at you.
You opened your mouth to speak but couldn't find the words. Instead you resorted to hanging your head in shame as the tears finally started to roll own your cheeks. Dream of course noticed this immediately and instantly pulled you into a reassuring hug, cradling your head, which you had crammed into his shoulder, in his hands. You reached a hand up to clutch the material of his shirt in a tight fist, almost as if you were afraid of letting him go. Dream seemed perfectly content with this as he let you calm yourself down on your own, now and again whispering positive sentiments to you.
You eventually pulled away, missing the disappointed look on Dream's face. You continued to look at your lap, sheepishly playing with your fingers. Dream reached over and grasped one of your hands in his own, bringing it up to his mouth and placing a light peck on the back.
"Bad dream?" he questioned as you finally looked up at him, shocked by his spontaneous act of affection. However, you nodded to give him a reply and he gave you a sympathetic smile in return. "Shoulda kept you with us, huh?" he teased making you blink.
Oh. Oh! that's right! You all fell asleep... together... on the couch. Your eyes widened as Dream snickered, raising his free hand to cover himself politely.
"C'mon (n/n), it's not that bad, is it?" he asked with a mocking tone, giggling as you softly slapped his shoulder.
"Urgh, Dream - you're awful. Someone like you shouldn't be allowed to say things like that!" you scolded playfully, pulling your hand out of his so you could cross your arms. "You're supposed to be the sweet-hearted gentleman!" you accused him narrowing your eyes. He fell silent as you announced this, his cheekbones steadily turning a bright yellow.
"S-Sweetheart?" he stuttered, eye lights flashing to stars. "Do you... really think of me as a sweetheart?" he queried, leaning in a bit too close for your liking. You simply laughed it off though, placing a hand on his chest to gently push him back.
"Well, sure, why not?" you answered him and couldn't help the smile that appeared on your face as he beamed, clasping his hands together in an innocent excitement. The moment was gone as soon as it had appeared however, as a confused look overtook Dream's ecstatic one. "Uh... Dream? Is everything oka-"
"YES! Yes, everything's fine! Let's go get the others!" he interrupted you, standing up and racing out of your room. You stayed sitting on your bed for a few more minutes, trying to recollect the scrambled thoughts that were swimming around in your head.
'What is going on with these boys?'
Eh, I feel like I made Dream a bit ooc here - is that what I've done? Sorry, if yes, heh. Anywho, in case all of you are wondering, the way I'm going to be setting this story up is I'm going to have one chapter for the boys to spend time with you separately (in the order Dream, Blue, Ink) and then a chapter where you get to choose :) Buckle up amigos, cuz the actions gonna start kicking in! (As well as the boys' feelings for a certain someone ;p ) - Fandom Trash
