After you had gotten out of the slightly awkward interaction with Blue (he had spent about five minutes profusely apologizing for his actions) you decided to wander around the castle for a bit, hoping it would clear your head. It was weird but... you felt like something had changed between you and the boys - sure, they still acted the same but whenever you were around them now, it seemed as if it always ended in a fight. They seemed to be a lot sharper towards each other now, only really getting along when you called them out on their envious antics. It was... a little unsettling.
You couldn't help but think back to all the interactions the boys have had together so far, slowing your pace a little:
"S-Sweetheart?" he stuttered, eye lights flashing to stars. "Do you... really think of me as a sweetheart?" he queried, leaning in a bit too close for your liking. You simply laughed it off though, placing a hand on his chest to gently push him back.
Oh...
He began to lean in slightly, making you confused. It seemed as though he wanted to close the gap in-between you two but didn't get the chance as Dream and Ink decided now would be a good moment to burst into the kitchen.
The two skeletons looked back and forth between the pair of you before they both settled their gaze on Blue. You began to feel slightly nervous as you realized they were glaring at the poor small skeleton.
Oh.
"I'll get it!" they said simultaneously and before you had a chance to reply, they all raced out the kitchen, each one of them desperate to be ahead of the others.
Oh no.
"(y/n)... have any boys... ever fought over you?" he asked gingerly, tilting his head towards the screen to refer to it.
Did the boys... like you? As in, like like you? You stopped walking, your hand flying up to your now blushing face. The Star Sanses liked you and they were all fighting for you - how did you not notice sooner?
It should have been obvious, really, each one of them always wanted to be the center of your attention and would get needlessly annoyed whenever they weren't. You thought it was just because you were all close friends but now... now their actions had a deeper meaning to them. You took in deep breaths as you thought about this, your heart rate accelerating.
"(y/n)? Is everything okay?" a voice broke you out of your thoughts and you whirled around to find Ink standing behind you with a concerned frown upon his face. You felt your face heat up a tad at the close proximity between the two of you, unconsciously taking a step backwards.
"U-Um, yes Inky. Everything's fine, heheh," you stuttered awkwardly, not knowing how to react to him now that you knew of his true feelings for you. This unfortunately didn't go unnoticed by Ink and he raised a skeptical eyebrow at your behavior.
"Really? Cuz you're acting kinda off..." he probed reaching over and placing the back of his hand against your forehead. "And you're really hot, are you coming down with something?" You turned your head away, shrugging your shoulders as a reply. Ink continued to scan you over, which only served to make you more flustered. His eye lights eventually returned to your face and you did your best to keep a stoic expression as he searched your eyes.
"I'm fine Ink, just a little... flustered, I guess?" you replied, internally cringing at your choice of words.'Why did I say that?!'
"...Flustered?" Ink echoed, his eye sockets widening by a fraction. Yet you couldn't help but take note of the hopeful glint that shimmered within them. You sighed lowering your head in embarrassment.
"Sorry Ink, I shouldn't have said that," you admitted jumping slightly as you felt hands grab your arms and pull you close. You looked up at Ink in curiosity, face flushing once more as you saw the prideful smirk that was plastered in his skull. He didn't say anything as he held you close, with you instinctively looping your arms around his neck as his slid down to your waist. "Um... I-Ink?"
The artistic skeleton lent forward, lightly placing his forehead against yours. You could feel his warm breath against your lips as you gazed curiously into his eye sockets. He slowly moved his face closer until he captured your lips with a kiss.
Your eyes widened as Ink kissed you, yet you found yourself unable to pull away from him. Well, at least until your mind caught up with you.
'Wait... What's happening? I-I can't do this! Not now! I'm not ready!' You hurriedly pulled back leaving Ink looking at you with rejected eye lights. Your hands flew up to cover your mouth as you stepped back. Not being able to find anything to say to the creator, you turned around and ran off in the opposite direction, barely hearing Ink's apologies as tears stung your eyes.
'I just don't get it... How could all this be happening?'
???'s Perspective: I watched the girl run away from Ink, a small smirk crossing over my face as the artist fell to the ground. Heh, serves him right. My plan was coming together quite nicely.
Just need to wait a little longer.
Then she's mine.
Hehehehe, did you really think it was gonna be all fluff and happy times? Well, you were wrong! Hah! What else did you expect from the unlucky number~?...I'm sorry for making Ink upset, pleasedon'thurtmeIlovehimIswear! But anyway, a change of POV huh? Interesting, interesting >w> Also, (y/n) now knows of the boys' crush(es) on her! But will she be able to act on her own feelings - or is something(one) going to get in the way? Stay tuned!
