Chapter 25

(f/s/s)'s perspective: "How could you do this?!" I spat at Nightmare, struggling against my restraints as he forced me to continue watching (y/n)'s corruption. Nightmare simply laughed at my angered tone walking towards me and using one of his tentacles to grip my jawbone. I snarled in protest but he ignored me as a sly smirk spread across his features.

"Oh, I had nothing to do with this. This is solely based on your precious little (y/n)~" he said tauntingly making me stop struggling to give him a confused look.

"W-What?"

Nightmare tilted his skull back towards the projection and my SOUL sank as I saw (y/n) in her fully corrupted form - her skin had turned a deep ebony black, dripping and shifting around her form, her eyes were glowing a luminescent ; nothing else could be seen except the light, some of it even coming off in wisps of magic, wings had sprouted from her back, huge and spiked and a long bony tail flicked between her legs. The navy aura still surrounded her, albeit fainter as she succumbed to its power.

"Her magic is the same as mine. Dark and powerful... too powerful for a normal form. As soon as it takes hold of our mind, it changes the way we think and act, it's able to give us ideas... thoughts and feelings we've never had before. Honestly, I would be surprised she was taken over so quickly, but judging by the look on your face... I think you know why she was," Nightmare said coyly, smirk growing at my horrified expression. Because he was right. I knew exactly what led to her dark magic ceasing control... and it was all my fault.

"You bastard!" I said hopelessly, kicking my legs out in an attempt to hit him. It proved fruitless as he simply stepped backwards. He rolled his singular eye light as he turned away from me.

"Pathetic," he said as he walked to the exit, giving me one last smug look before he left me and my unconscious companions in crippling darkness.

(y/n)'s perspective: You could feel your mind swirling with negativity as you finally accepted your corruption. Sure, the wings and tail would take some getting used to but the way that Shattered (f/s/s) looked at you made it worth it.

A small part of you tried to tell you that you were being unreasonable and that you needed to think this through, but you hastily pushed them aside and let your dark magic continue to control you. You've never felt so much power. You couldn't help but feel slightly addicted to it.

"Feels good, doesn't it?" a familiar voice called out. You turned around as the Shattered Sanses bowed, gazing at Nightmare in wonder.

"What are you doing here?" you said snappishly, fists clenching. You may have corrupted, but you weren't about to let yourself get taken over by anyone, especially not Nightmare.

"Just came to make a proposal," he said taking a few steps towards you, smirking as you growled at him. The Shattered Sanses surrounded you as the prince came closer. "I want you to switch sides (y/n). Those Star Sanses were just using you, trying to hold you back from who you really are." He gestured to your form, eye light glinting as the Shattered Sanses chuckled. "Join us... and we can make you into something great."

You tried to move back as Nightmare approached you, but found yourself being held in place by Berry and Shattered Dream. Nightmare cupped your cheek in his hand and gave you a surprisingly soft smile, showing you a rare tenderness that made your emotions collide.

"Let me help you," he said quietly, gazing at you in sympathy. You blinked, recoiling from his touch as you searched him for any kind of aggression or deceit. Finding none, you let your body relax, Berry and Dream releasing you as you slowly nodded your head.

"What do you need me to do?"

You blinked your eyes open, the pounding in your skull making you groan. You attempted to reach a hand up to try and soothe the pain but found that your wrists had been restrained to a metal table that you were currently lying upon.

"W-Wha-?! What's going on?"

"Ah, I see you've joined us again (y/n)," Nightmare's voice sounded out, coming from some sort of hidden speaker as you started to thrash about on the table.

"What the Hell do you think you're doing?!" you screamed, your voice carrying a venomous edge you didn't even know you could muster. You fell silent as something whirred in the distance, instantly setting off alarm bells in your mind. "H-Huh?"

"While you've been extremely cooperative so far (y/n)... I want to make sure you're not going to try any tricks again. If you're going to work for me, we have to make you obedient first~"

You were about to question his sinister words when a loud click echoed throughout the room and something sparked inside your chest that made you let out a loud scream. Your hands clenched as electricity charged through your body, tears pricking the corners of your eyes as you thrashed. This went on for a minute or so before you felt your mind go blank and you fell limp against the metal surface.

A door opened and you heard footsteps approach you as your restraints were lifted. You sat up and turned to face Nightmare, who was holding the button you assumed turned on whatever machine he had placed inside your body.

"Now (y/n), for your first job... I want you to kill the Star Sanses," he said and while your mind yelled at you not to agree, your lips moved on their own accord.

"Yes, master."
