I was going to upload this on Pancake Day but... Well, I got a bit sidetracked lol So I hope you're okay with this being a day late ;-;

I'm not going to be writing a special for the today but I just wanted to write this to... Acknowledge it? Does that make sense? Lol

Anyway, enough of me rambling, let's get onto the story shall we? ;) - Fandom Trash

You followed Ink down the maze of corridors, occupying yourself by gazing at the array of portraits and tapestry's that lined the castle walls.

"So Blue's real confident he can teach ya huh?" Ink said after a while, dragging your attention back to him. You gave him a patient smile and nodded.

"Yeah and he's been doing a pretty good job at it too. I'm... not a particularly easy person to train," you said jokingly, successfully earning yourself a snicker from the artistic skeleton. He then looked down and muttered something about 'Doing it for her'.

...What?

"We're almost there," he said making you nod in understanding. You weren't too sure on where Ink was taking you but after telling him about the weird feeling you had been having (it'd been going on for about a month now) he insisted on bringing you to this... unknown place. You had been keeping up with your training with Blue; you noticed that at particular points during your sessions the feeling would spike and only simmer down after the fight was over. You weren't able to wrap your head around it so the fact that Ink seemed to have at least some clue on what was going on was immensely reassuring to you.

Ink stopped before a large purple door and turned to beckon you towards it. You swallowed audibly before stepping forwards, giving Ink a confused look. He gave you a comforting smile and took ahold of one of your hands, lifting it up to place it on a panel in the middle of the door.

"Hold it there," he instructed gently and you nodded, doing as he said. You pressed your palm onto the panel and your eyes widened as it lit up beneath your hand. You could hear Ink gasp as you pulled your hand back and the door opened.

"Holy shit," he said quietly, his eye sockets wide and alarmed. "You... You were actually able to do it!"

"What, do what?" You said questioningly, dread swirling in your stomach as your saw the way your friend's hands shook. Ink blinked twice before looking down at you, his mouth still agape.

"You opened the door. I mean, I thought you might be able to but... but." He placed a hand on his skull, shaking it before coming to your side and taking your hand again. "The only person that was able to open this door was Nightmare," he muttered looking up at you with his eye lights full of concern. You swiftly pulled your hand back, holding it to you chest as your breath caught in your throat.

"N-Nightmare? But that would mean I..."

"(Y/n)." Ink cut you off, placing a gentle hand upon your shoulder. "You have dark magic."

'What? No... That can't be true! I... I can't have... How can I? I'm a human! I can't have magic I... It's not possible!'

You clutched your head between your hands as the world began to spin. You closed your eyes in an attempt to soothe the oncoming headache, barely registering how your knees gave way and you fell to the floor.

'Dark magic, I have dark magic. But that can't be possible. Why is everything so bright? It hurts! Dark magic. I have dark magic. Dark magic.'

"(Y/n)? (Y/N)!"

Ink's voice sounded distant, as if it were coming from the end of a corridor. Your heart thumped in your head and your breaths came out ragged. Your only experience with dark magic were with fairytales about evil sorcerers and witches. But... you weren't like that! You weren't evil!

...Were you?

"(Y/n)! Speak to me!"

You felt your face grow warm as tears streaked down your cheeks, you finally opened your eyes to reveal a scared Ink. You were surrounded by a navy blue aura that seemed to prevent him from coming near you.

Ink's eye lights locked onto you and his gaze softened into one of sympathy.

"It's okay (y/n) we'll-"

You weren't able to hear the rest of his sentence as the world went black...

Well well well, whaddya guys think huh? Our little (y/n)-chan now has dark magic on her side. ;) Once again, I'm sure that TOTALLY won't backfire in the future *violent coughing*

Did any of you catch the Steven Universe reference? Anyone?

Hehehe, writing this is fun ^=^ Sorry this chapter's a little short but I promise the next one is gonna be longer, we're gonna start getting to the real good stuff! - Fandom Trash
