"(y/n)? (y/n)!"

"(y/n), wake up!"

"Wake up!"

'Where am I?'

You blinked your eyes open as that question rung in your head. You appeared to be in a void, there was no light - only a black abyss that made you feel hopelessly small. You noticed that the blue aura was still circling your body as you walked forward to explore.

'What was I doing?'

"(y/n)!"

'Ink? That's right... I was with Ink. But where is he now?'

"What's going on with her?"

"I don't know!"

'Dream...'

"(y/n), can you hear me?"

'Dream!'

"Yes! Dream! Where are you!"

"It's okay (y/n), just relax. You are in your subconscious. You'll wake up in a moment, don't worry."

You couldn't help but smile at Dream's reassurance; he always knew how to make you feel better.

"Dream, thank you."

The void began to get lighter as you presumed you were waking up. You readied yourself to be enveloped by the guys' questions but the moment was short lived as cold, slimy tentacles wrapped around your wrists and pulled you backwards. You screamed out for the boys but the words got caught in your throat as you were held up to face Nightmare; barely a few inches from his face. The corrupted skeleton smirked and reached out to grip your chin, forcing you to maintain eye contact with him.

"You know you're really becoming a pain in my ass (y/n)~" he said tauntingly, his single visible eye light scanning your body. You grimaced at his smirk, struggling against his tendrils.

"You don't have an ass!" you retorted making his eye socket widen before he chuckled and pulled you in closer.

"Such a temper, this is why you could be useful to me," he said in reply, seeming unfazed by your attempted insult. His words sent a cold shiver racing down your spine. "You have dark magic, just like me. Do you have any idea how powerful we could be together?"

"Go to Hell you sick fuck!" you said violently, swinging your leg out to try and kick him. You missed, cursing loudly as he rolled his eye light.

"Your combat skills need a little work but... we can deal with that," he continued, somehow infuriating you more.

"Agh, SHUT UP!"

"Brother?!"

Nightmare dropped you as the innocent voice called out. Dream was standing there with a scared expression, eye lights quivering as he stared at what used to be his older sibling. His eye socket widened for a brief moment before flickering with a much more violent intent. He poised his tentacles ready to attack the positive spirit, making you immediately panic for your friend's safety.

"Wait! Please wait! I'll go!" you said desperately, clinging to the hem of his hoodie from your position on the floor.

"You'll what?"

"(y/n) wait-!"

"If you leave him alone. Leave ALL of them alone. If you promise to not harm them in any way... I'll go with you." You swallowed as tears threatened to fall, watching Nightmare intently as he pondered your offer.
