Of course, the one day you left your jacket at the dorm, the one day you leave your jacket at your parents house because it’s been fine all week and your mom wasn’t there to tell you to take it to practice with you was the day it decided to drop twenty degrees and start snowing. So now, you were sat on a bench as you stared out the glass door of the SM building. With each flake that fell on the ground, you felt your chances of getting home slip out of your hands.

“You’re still here?”
A voice sounded behind you, frighteningly close to your ear, forcing you to jump and tear your gaze off of the gentle white blanket that was covering the ground. The moment you turned to see who was talking to you, your eyes widened and you nearly fell off of the bench as you hurried to stand up and face her.

“Yeah, I, forgot my jacket at my mom’s house.” You explained quickly, meeting Wendy’s eyes unsurely.

She nodded for a moment in understanding before shrugging off her jacket and handing it to you,

“Here, take it.” You shook your head,

“I can’t, my mom can’t get me home anyways, our car is stuck in the snow.”

“Well you’re not planning on walking are you?”

“It was a possibility, and then that-” you gestured to the snow outside

“is making me want to reconsider.”

“Take the jacket and we can find a way back to your house together.” Wendy insisted, even taking the liberty to place the jacket around your shoulders and patting your shoulders gently.

“We?”

“Put the jacket on.” Wendy pushed,

“And yes we, you have my jacket, I’ll go with you, I’ll keep you warm.”
