Adrienne was woken up earlier and immediately taken to the aircraft, not caring that the girl was stumbling over her own feet. When she got on the plane, there was only a few other tributes there, including Vern, who was rubbing the sleep from his eyes.

"Hey." The girl said with a yawn after being stuffed in the seat next to him, a number four labeled a over her head.

"Hey." He replied tiredly. "Your ready?"

Not trusting her voice, she just nodded, sighing softly. Vern nodded in reply before he turned away, silence filling the plane.

The other tributes soon filed in and once the plane was full, they shut the hatch and started heading to the arena. On the way there, some people inserted a tracker into Adrienne's arm, causing pain to radiate over the area.

The plan ride was pretty short, thanfully, and the tributes were taken to different rooms, each in a random order; she was walking just behind Vern. That is, until his peacekeepers led him into a room. The boy gave her one last, small smile before the door shut behind him.

Sighing, she faced forwards again. It wasn't long before she was shoved in her own place, the door closing immediately behind her.

The room wasn't big, with only a table holding some clothes and food on one side and a small pedestal near the other. Before she could even take a step, the door opened again and Serin walked through.

"Gotta work quick." He spoke before she could.

The girl just nodded and the two of them got her out of the baggy clothes she wore and into her arena clothes; a pair of leggings, a loose black shirt (which Serin tucked in) and a light thermal jacket with a large number four on the back. All was black, except for the four and a white stripe across the front of the jacket.

"Light stuff, just insulated." The stylist said as he pulled the girl's hair up into a messy bun at the crown of her head. "Probably forests. Or fields. Something not too cold, but not too hot."

Once he was done, Adrienne turned to face him with a sad smile. "Thank you, Serin. For everything."

The man smiled back, but it didn't quite reach his eyes like it always did. "It was my privilege."

Before the man could leave the room, the blond girl rushed forwards and wrapped him in a tight hug, one which Serin returned immediately.

"I'm betting on you, Addy." He whispered. With that said, he released her, giving her a gentle and quick kiss on the forehead before leaving the room.

As if it sensed she was alone in the room, a robotic voice called over an unseen speaker. "Five minutes to launch."

Adrienne took a small breath and walked over to the table, sitting down in a chair set beside it as she ate the small amount of food left out. She took a few large drinks of the water, knowing she wouldn't be getting any more for probably a long time.

"Three minutes to launch." The voice called again, causing the girl's heartbeat to pick up. She could feel the panic setting in and her breaths to become shallow.

Suddenly, the door burst open and Finnick came in, his face free of any emotion. Upon seeing the girl in such a panicked state, he rushed over and hoisted her up, wrapping his arms tightly around her shaky body.

She gripped him tightly, breathing in and out quickly, as tears slowly ran down her cheeks. "I can't do this. I can't do this." She repeated over and over under her breath as she buried her face in his chest.

"Hey, it's ok. You're ok." Finnick said, having a comforting hand gently placed on her head. Though he seemed so calm, she could hear his heart beating violently inside his chest. "Take a deep breath. Listen to my voice."

Adrienne did as instructed and ok a deep breath. When she did so, an unusual, but lovable, smell hit her nose; sea salt and sugar. The smell that was amazingly and purely Finnick. And she loved it.

"There you go." He said soothingly as she started to calm down, her breathing returning to normal. "You're alright. You're ok."

When she pulled away, she smiled a small smile up at her mentor, who was only two years her senior. "Thank you, Finn."

The boy nodded and looked down at her. He lifted his hand and brushed his knuckles gently over her cheeks, wiping away her fallen tears, just as he had done a few nights prior.

No one was here to stop him this time. Not being able to help himself, he leaned down and gently placed his lips on hers. She was shocked at first, but soon melted into it and kissed him back.

"Sixty seconds you launch."

The robotic voice interrupted the once sweet moment as the two District Four citizens pulled away from one another. They sat in silence for a few seconds, foreheads pressed together.

"I'm sorry." Finnick whispered, scared that he would scare her away if he spoke any louder. "I had to do that, just in case you...." He cut himself off, not wanting to finish the thought.

"Thirty seconds you launch. All tribute board loading platform."

Adrienne looked up at Finnick with sad eyes, not wanting to cry any more. But seeing the ocean blue eyes locked on her own, she couldn't help when her voice broke as she spoke.

"Goodbye, Finnick." She whispered before backing up and walking towards the platform.

With her nerves setting back in, she stepped up onto the pedestal. As soon as she didn't so, a glass tube lowered around her before locking in place, taking away her last bit of freedom. Slowly, the platform started to rise.

Through the glass, she could see a broken and worried Finnick Odair standing alone in the room. "Goodbye, Adrienne."
