changing us all from generation to generationNamjoon sits there, just thinking, one arm around his brother and one arm limp by his side. When Jin found out that he knew about the whole 'eating disorder' thing, there was a moment of painful silence before the purple made some excuse about needing to head home. And Namjoon is many things, but he's no idiot when it comes to his boyfriend.
Jin went home to scream at Taehyung for telling Namjoon what was up. He hates when someone reveals something before he's ready, even if it's something important. And he's clearly been worried about Namjoon's reaction to the situation. Which makes sense.
"Are you feeling any better, Yoongs?" he manages to say quietly. The indigo lets out a long sigh, and then nods slightly. "That's good."
"Are you okay, though, Joon?" Yoongi mumbles, his voice still sounding a little foggy even now. It's been a few days since the indigo slipped back into his more negative, baffling head space, and he's beginning to crawl out of the black hole that the experience always forces him into. Since then, things have been a little bit complicated.
First and foremost, of course, Namjoon had to get his brother home. And then he had to contact his boyfriend and mother, inform the two of them that Yoongi had suffered an episode, and check on the cats. Then he had to figure out how everything would work with their schedules: as a bookstore owner, he obviously has a lot of work to do. And Yoongi had interviews which Namjoon had to cancel.
Then, the blue made the decision that he was going to stay with his brother for a while, to help him recover from his latest 'glitch', as Yoongi likes to refer to them. These things often take a few days to properly go away, which makes life difficult. Both of them normally don't have a few days free, but thankfully they live in a circle of friends that already understand and accept Yoongi's situation, and Namjoon's determination to look after the indigo when things go wrong.
Namjoon's mother has offered to let Yoongi stay at their house several times, on several different occasions (mainly relating to these kind of situations), but someone has to look after the cats. They can't be left for days on end with no company, no food, and no cleaning of their litter trays. That would just result in chaos that would piss Yoongi off, and alienate him from some of his closest companions. Which isn't always ideal, obviously.
Jin came over about an hour ago now, to check up on the two brothers, and Namjoon must have seemed more troubled than usual, must have been unable to hide his concern for the purple, because Jin seemed to know within a few moments that something else was wrong. It didn't take much longer before Namjoon was revealing what he knew.
And then Jin stormed off. Furious with his younger brother.
"Me? Oh, I'm fine," Namjoon says distractedly, nodding once and tightening his hold on Yoongi's shoulder for a moment. "Just worried about you, as always."
"And about Jin hyung?"The blue glances over at his brother, shrugs once. "I guess, yeah. I didn't know how much you could hear about the whole thing."
"He's got an eating disorder. I know that much. Taehyung must have told you the day I glitched out in the cafe," Yoongi mumbles, slightly uncertainly."He did, yeah." There's a pause, then Namjoon turns to look incredulously at the indigo. "How could you tell? Normally, your memory is awful after an episode." The older male just shrugs, managing a small smile.
"Joon, I may be glitched out sometimes but I'm no idiot. I know when something's bothering you. And you're my brother, basically. I care, even when everything feels like a fucking mess."
