'extrovert' isn't a label, or some sort of identity

"So, you called the publisher?" Jin asks eagerly, leaning on his elbows and regarding his younger brother with excitement in his eyes. Taehyung nods hesitantly, his gaze trained on the plastic table cloth. "And? What did he say?"
Jin watches his brother's sluggish actions, worry creasing a frown onto hi forehead. Normally, Tae would be much more excited by something like this. But he doesn't seem to care as much as Jin had hoped. He's just.....seemingly numb. Which is worrying.
The orange shrugs, picking up a fork and stabbing unenthusiastically at the food on his plate, pushing half a potato around and watching it scoot past everything else on there. "He told me to email him with some of example of my writing."
"And?" Jin presses, trying to get to the bottom of the issue.
"And what?" Taehyung returns listlessly. Jin motions his hand impatiently.
"Did you send him anything?"Taehyung pauses, takes a deep breath, and lets out a heavy sigh himself. "No." Jin's eyebrows shoot up, and he leans further forward, looking his younger brother right in the eyes.
"No? What do you mean, no?"The younger male shrugs. "I dunno, nothing was publish-worthy," he explains quietly, shaking his head so that his orange locks fall in his face, avoiding Jin's questioning gaze. "It's supposed to be cheerful or whatever, I'm an orange. I'm supposed to be original. I'm supposed to have ground breaking ideas. I'm supposed to bring people happiness and-"
"I'm gonna stop you right there, Tae," Jin interrupts, holding up a hand, concern etched on his face. "You really think that your writing isn't publish worthy? Why?"
"How could it be?" the younger male returns, sounding upset, and Jin smiles sadly, taking the full plate from his brother and placing it to one side beside his own.
"You've wanted this for years. You've got messages to share, opinions to impart on the world. That brain of yours is incredible. Don't hide behind an insecurity.""Easy enough for you to say," Taehyung retorts, "you're the purple. You're always loved."
"Which is why my boss treats me like a slave, I suppose?" Jin points out, not really offended because he knows exactly why his younger brother is lashing out. He's upset, and isolating himself from others so that he can sulk. And Kim Seokjin will never leave his brother to sulk on his own.
Never in a million years.
"Hyung, I didn't mean-" Taehyung starts, eyes wide and panicked as he realises what he just said, and the older male shakes his head, holding up a hand.
"I know what you meant. If you don't believe in yourself, then what's the point, when others are better? Why did you fight through hardship for years, why did I put my faith in your skill, why did we decide to live together like this? Why are we still working for something so uncertain?"Taehyung smiles a little at the memory, the moment when they decided together to try make this all work , nostalgia hitting him out of nowhere. "Well?" Jin asks expectantly. "What did we do that for? What was the reasoning behind it?"
