i don't know how much more of this bullshit I can take
people telling me it's my choice to make
i didn't sign up for this crap
but now it looks like i'm trapped

tell me where to find the exit
tell me how to protect the ones i love
tell me what the enemy is
just humanity, myself, or somebody from above

As Jin's younger brother, the issues with Namjoon are more keenly felt by Taehyung than elsewhere. Jin's other boss comes round their house more than once, threatening to fire the purple for not turning up to his last shift. Even when the orange explains the situation, the twat is still swearing at him.

Taehyung doesn't tell Jin about the aggression, choosing to keep it to himself and instead just say that the asshole in question sent him a text. His brother is stressed enough as it is. He doesn't need more crap to worry about. Not right now.

Hoseok does message him, however, to his surprise. Something simple, an encouragement that matters more than Tae can understand. Sure, it's just an editor at a publishing company, but Hoseok seems to really care about his clients, really care about other people. For someone at the head of a company, that can be extremely rare.

For whatever reason, the text gives him the motivation to get something new written, relating to his original application to the publishing company. And maybe it's not anything particularly special, or fancy, there's always room for improvement.

Something is better than nothing, after all.

Life is just getting more complicated, just when Taehyung was hoping it would get easier: the contract with Sunshine was supposed to make things simpler. Jin was supposed to be able to quit his second job, and just work for Namjoon, who would never exploit him or hurt him. Taehyung was supposed to get more motivation, supposed to believe that he was able to actually succeed.

But here he is, stuck in an even more confusing mess than before: Jin's eating disorder, the theft at the shop, Jin's other boss coming in and being an asshole to Tae, Jungkook, and of course his lack of proper motivation. Maybe he's just thinking about it all wrong. He's lucky to have a contract. And things have to get better. But positive thinking has never solved much.

Eventually, when nothing else creative happens, Taehyung breaks his resolve, and finds his old friends. They welcome him back with open arms, but he can sense the poison in the air between everyone like an old smell. He knows that he has to watch his back. Everyone in this group is just there to make fun of others, just there to exploit them.

Right now, that's what he believes he needs.

"Taehyung , have a drink!" someone calls out. He can't remember the guy's name, so he shakes his head. "Oh come on, don't be such a wuss! It's just vodka, it's not gonna kill you." Thinking of Jin, the orange refuses again, and suddenly the whole group is advancing on him.

"If you were gonna be an asshole about it, I wouldn't have let you come back," the leader of the group snaps at him. She's a dark red, someone that easily gets angry, but she's also a bit of a bitch. Quite a bit of a bitch. A total bitch.

Prime example of bitch. If you looked up the word 'bitch' in the urban dictionary, you'd see a picture of this girl. If you looked it up anywhere else, you'd find a picture of a dog (which is a much more positive thing to see, trust me). But she allowed Taehyung to come back here, for whatever reason, and he's not stupid enough to think it's out of kindness. She doesn't have the capacity for that kind of thing.
