Summary: You hated being under the spotlight

You groaned loudly as you saw a group of kids approach you. No doubt they had seen the latest trailer from the upcoming Avengers movie.
"Holy shit, dude. Your mom was a fucking badass in that trailer."
You rolled your eyes and nodded.
"Thanks?"
They all let out a fake laugh, causing you to once again roll your eyes in irritation. They only came to bother you for one thing and one thing only, spoilers.
"Maybe you could tell us what's going to happen in the last movie. Does anyone die?"
You groaned loudly and quickly gathered your things.
"I can't talk about it. Now leave me the hell alone."
You tried walking away from them but they kept following after you.
"Come on! We promise not to tell anyone."
"Fuck off!"
Noticing, the familiar black SUV that always picked you up, you jogged up to it to get away from them. Once you were inside, you let out a sigh of relief.
"Honey, what's wrong? Why were you running away from those kids?"
You shrugged and crossed your arms. Wanting to forget what had happened. It was the same thing each time a new film came out. They always pretend to be nice and then leave when they got what they wanted.
"Drop it, mom. I'm tired."
To ignore her, you took out your headphones and put them on. Scarlett sighed as you once again closed yourself. She was worried about you. It was always the same thing each time that she came to pick you up. She needed to figure out what was going on before it got worse. With a couple of phone calls, Scarlett had been able to get to the bottom of it.

As usual, you woke up to your alarm and quickly changed into something before rushing downstairs for a quick breakfast. Except this time, your mom was waiting for you.
"Mom? I thought you would be going to work today."
"I called in. Said I was too sick to go in."
"But you never miss."
"I can make exceptions for you. I wanted to talk to you about school."
You rolled your eyes and shock your head.
"I don't want to talk about it."
"Why didn't you tell me what was going on?"
"What was going on?"
You asked, hoping the playing dumb act would act.
"The fact that everyone bothered you just for the spoilers."
"It's not a big deal, mom. I can deal with it."
"I'm sure you can but I'd rather you be in an environment where they don't just use your for things."
She walks over to you, kissing the top of your head as she places a brochure in front of you.
"I was thinking maybe homeschool would work out. It's totally customizable. You could either go to a classroom with a small group of kids or just have a one on one with your teacher."
You looked down at it. Reading briefly what it was about.
"You don't have to do this mom. I'm fine with going to that school."
"Sweetie, I'm not going to let those kids bother you. I know it hasn't been exactly easy for you and I only want what's best for you."
You sighed and looked up at her. She was clearly trying her best.
"Does that mean I get to spend less hours in school?"
Scarlett smiled and shook her head.
"Perhaps. But for now, why don't you finish up breakfast so we can head out. We're having a mom and daughter day."
"Are you serious?"
She nods and sits in front of you.
"Deadly. Now hurry up before your brother wakes up and eats all the pancakes."
That was enough to rush you to finish them. He might be little but that didn't stop him.
