You played with your fingers while looking down at your feet. Your Aunt Charlie just stood in front of you and waited for you to talk about what was on your mind. Everyone else was on a mission to fix time and Charlie had stayed behind for backup and keep watch on you. Not that you needed it but Sara and Ava tended to be overprotective of you.
"If I tell you something, would it stay between the two of us?"
Charlie looks at you in perplexion, not understanding what you could possibly want to hide from everyone, mainly your mothers.
"As long as this something is not putting you in any danger, I'll keep it between us."
You look up to give her a small smile. Her promise made you feel more at ease.
"I have a girlfriend. We've been dating for 6 months and we've been in a long distance relationship since we left the present time."
Charlie waited a minute to fully process what you had told her. She had so many questions but decided against asking them. It seemed like you had only told her for a reason.
"Kid, you took me by surprise but I'm happy for you. I'm assuming that you told me for a reason."
"I did. I've heard you at night, sneak out to use the jump ship. I was hoping you could use it to take me to her so we could spend our anniversary together."
"Of course! I'm all for helping a blossoming relationship. When do you want me to take you?"
"Tonight. I promised to surprise her."
"Tonight it is. We'll meet up in the jump ship when everyone is asleep."
You wrapped your arms around her, grateful that she was taking you to visit your girlfriend.
"Thank you, Aunt Charlie."
"Oh, you're welcome. Like I could ever say no to you. I'm assuming that we're to keep it from everyone?"
"Yeah. I don't want anyone to find out about her. You know how my moms could be."
With a laugh, Charlie nods. She couldn't even imagine how the two of them would react.
"Trust me. I can keep a secret."

Charlie turned to face you as the jump ship landed.
"When should I pick you up?"
"Is it possible for you to cover for me so that I can spend tomorrow with her too?"
"I'm a master at deception. I'll keep your secret. Have fun, kid. Shoot me a message when you want me to pick you up."
"I will."
After a quick hug, you ran down the stairs and the back door of your girlfriend's place.

Charlie gulped loudly at the two angry faces that had been interrogating her for the past hour. She had only slipped a little and somehow Ava and Sara had found out that you hadn't been in the ship since last night. They've been interrogating her to figure out where you were but Charlie hadn't spilled.
"She's back home with her girlfriend! I'm supposed to pick her up when she calls me"
Until now. Sara and Ava were a scary combo when they wanted to be.
"What? Since when does she have a girlfriend? Nevermind. Lets go get her."
Sara headed to the jump ship but was stopped by Ava.
"I think it's a better idea if we wait until she calls Charlie. There's a reason why she didn't want us knowing, babe."
Sara sighs and nods.
"Fine. But we're having a talk with her when she comes back."
The two of them head back to the command center, leaving Charlie restrained on the chair.
"Uh, guys! I'm still here! Come back!"

You're smile falls when you notice who's waiting for you by entrance of the ship.
"Mom, I can explain."
"We'll talk back at the waverider."
Ava steps aside to let you in. The way back to the ship was quiet and you just knew that you were in big trouble.
"Explain."
"I wanted to tell you but the two of you are overprotective. I knew you would've made me break up with her because I'm still not old enough but I am!" Ava and Sara remain quite as you go on to explain the reasons why you needed to stop being treated like a child.
"You're right."
"...what?"
"We talked after we found out from Charlie that you had a girlfriend. We were upset at first because you hadn't told us and then we realized that we were to blame that you couldn't trust us. For that, we're sorry."
"I still should have told you and I'm sorry for not doing so."
Ava and Sara stand up to wrap you up in a hug.
"Lets all just agree to not keep things from each other."
"Deal."
"We're meeting this girlfriend of yours."
"Yes mom."
You mumbled into Sara's arms.
