AN: Never seen the show so it doesn't really go with what's happening in the episodes.
You tiredly rub your eyes, trying to focus on what Courtney had been saying for the past few minutes. She had just barged into your room earlier, demanding for you to wakeup as she told you about what had happened earlier in the night.
"Court, slow down. I can't understand a word you're saying."
Courtney rolls her eyes and practically shoves a walking stick at you.
"Um, you found a golden cane?...that's cool I guess. Maybe you can sell it for some money."
"No! Have you not been paying attention to what I've been saying."
All you can do is just give her an apologetic stare.
"It's just better if I show you."
Out of nowhere, the staff lights up.
"It lights up? That's cool I guess."
"Oh my god, (y/n). You're really infuriating."
She grabs both the staff in her hand and takes your hand as she leads you out to the backyard. Lowering the staff, she lets it go so it just floats on its on.
"Courtney, this is cool and all but if you brought me out here to just show me a cane that floats and lights up, I'm just going to bed. I have a test tomorrow."
You turn back around and start heading inside when Courtney flies in front of you while sitting on top of the staff.
"It can fly too!"
"That's what interests you?"
"Well yeah! What are we waiting for? Lets go see what this baby can do?"
You're about to climb on top of the staff when Courtney stops you.
"What the hell, Court?"
"What if you fall? I don't want to risk it, (y/n). This thing goes pretty fast."
"So? I'll just hold on to you. Now are you going to take me on a ride around town or should I just head to bed since you won't show me the cool part of the staff."
Courtney takes a second to think about it before scooting over to give you space in the back for you to sit.
"Just hold on to me tightly. If I feel your grip loosen, I'm bringing us back home."
You raise your head up to your forehead, saluting her.
"Aye, aye captain."
She rolls her eyes and hurries you to climb on.

"Wooohoooo. Make it fly faster, Court!"
"This is fast enough. Otherwise, you'll just fall off."
"Don't be a wimp, come on. Just a little faster."
She sighs and doesn't say anything as she flies faster. The two of you fly around town a couple of times before eventually Courtney directs the staff back to the house. You jump off of the staff, still feeling the rush from the trip.
"Totally worth losing an hour of sleep. So it glows, flies and floats on its own. What else can it do?"
Courtney smirks and points the staff towards the trash as it shoots off a laser.
"You know what this means, don't you Court?"
"That I could be like Supergirl or the Flash?"
"Hell yeah! I can just picture it, my sister Courtney Whitmore, the Staffgirl."
"Staffgirl?"
"You don't like it? I think it goes with you. I mean your powers do come from the staff."
"I don't know. It seems too weird. I'll add it to the list of names that I might consider."
You grin, happy that she was taking the name you suggested into account.
"Great, as fun as it was, mom and dad are going to be pissed if we don't wake up for school."
"You're so right but...we could also go on another lap around the city."
"I'm really rubbing off on you. The Courtney I knew would never suggest being this late out at night."
"Yeah, well that Courtney didn't have a magical staff. Now come on!"
The two of you jumped back onto the staff to fly over the city again. By the time you had come back, the sun was barely rising.
"So I was thinking, what do you think about Stargirl?"
"I don't know Staffgirl sounds better to me but if you like Stargirl then go for it."
"I think people will take Stargirl more seriously."
"Whatever makes you happy, Court."
You tell her as you make your way inside.
