Your moms had sent you with Aunt Charlie to pick up your girlfriend so the 4 of you could have a nice dinner to get to know each other. You wanted to protest about it but they were quiet insistent about how they wanted to see the girl that had made you sneak around. They didn't sound upset when they mentioned it so you weren't worried that they already had a negative view about her.
You knock at the door, holding your breath as you wait for her to come out. The two of you had been dating for quite some time but you would always get nervous before you would meet up with her. The door finally opens and you're able to take notice of the outfit she had chosen to wear for the dinner. You're speechless, making her worry that something happened.
"(y/n)? (y/n)!"
You snap out of it as she snaps her fingers in front of you.
"You look beautiful (gf's name)." She bites her lip as she feels her cheeks turn red. You can't help but smile and hand her the flowers you had picked up on the way.
"These are for you."
She gives you a soft kisses as she takes them and hands them to her mother. As her mother waves the two of you goodbye, you walk her to the jump ship.
"Aunt Charlie, this is my girlfriend, (y/n)"
"Nice to meet you, kid. (y/n) can't seem to stop talking about you."
You blush brightly, making your girlfriend laugh at your reaction.
"Don't worry, babe. I think it's cute."
Once the two of you are strapped in, Charlie takes off back to the WaveRider.

When you're both back on the ship, you realize that Charlie hadn't turned of the jump ship nor was she getting off of it.
"Wait, you aren't coming in?"
"Sorry, (y/n). Captain's orders to leave the ship to the four of you."
"Can't you stay, Aunt Charlie?"
Charlie actually thought about staying to help you out with your mothers but decided against it. She had already gotten on their bad side once, she can't imagine it it happens again.
"I would love to but I don't want to be tied down a chair for a day, again."
You sigh and nod.
"Here goes nothing."
You mumbled. Your girlfriend was surprisingly really chill about it. She wasn't panicking and rather than you comforting her, she was the one doing the comforting.

Dinner was...surprisingly civil. Neither of your moms had subjected (gf's name) to a interrogation and you had considered it a win. Dessert was soon finished and it was time to take your gf back home.
"It was a pleasure to meet you (gf's name). You seem to bring out the best in (y/n)"
"Moooom."
Sara rolls her eyes as she laughs at you. Ava quiets the two of you and hands your girlfriend one of the spare time couriers.
"This is for you. It's been modified to only transport you from the ship and back to your house. It's also only allowed to transport when the other person who has the other modified time courier has accepted the opening of the portal."
Ava hands you the other one.
"This one is for you. Same thing goes for you."
You can't help but look between the two of them, not believing that this was happening.
"Moms, this is incredible. Thank you."
You rush to pull the into a tight hug.
"Yeah, well it's the least we could do. It's not fair for us to deprive you. Just as easily as I gave you those, I can take them away so you better behave."
You thank them again and rush off to your bedroom with your girlfriend.
"I didn't make a mistake giving them the time couriers, did I?"
Sara wraps her arms around Ava's waist and leans in to kiss her.
"Babe, this is a good thing. It showed to (y/n) that we trust her and think she's responsible. That means she won't misbehave as much."
"You're right. It's a good thing."
