You looked through your window, upset about the fact that Alex had blown you off again in favor of spending time with Kara. Ever since the alien had arrived, they had all stopped caring about you. All they cared about was Kara and making sure that she was well adjusted to Earth. It was upsetting and you weren't liking the fact that you were alone now.
Rushing downstairs, you quickly ate dinner before they came in. Dinner had also been ruined over the fact that said alien would practically eat everything, hardly leaving you anything to eat.
"Honey, you know that you're supposed to wait for us before dinner."
You're done by the time your mom comes back to the kitchen to set up the table. Picking up your mess, you clean the dishes you used and head upstairs.
"It's not like you care if I'm the table or not."
Shocked to hear you so bitter, your mother doesn't have time to respond anything as you had already locked yourself in your room. With everyone coming back inside, she didn't have time to follow after you. It made her feel guilty but she knew how hungry they could get from a long day outside.
"(y/n), won't be joining us. She had dinner early."
Alex frowns. This had been your third day that you hadn't joined them for dinner. Something was going on and she was going to get to the bottom of it by tonight.

You're drowned out the world with your music, stopping you from hearing the knocks that had been hitting your door for the past few minutes.
"Should I break the lock, Alex?"
Kara asked her in her broken English. She had been on Earth for a couple of months and she was still adjusting to the new languages and customs.
"Could you?"
Kara nods happily and twist the knob to the far left until it comes off. Alex walks in with Kara in tow.
You're startled when there's two shadows blocking the light from your fan. Opening your eyes, you find Alex and Kara staring down at you. You just roll your eyes and turn to the side. You didn't care about anything that they had to say. Hurt by your actions, Alex moves to the other side of the bed so you could look at her. Since she wasn't getting the hint, you took of your headphones.
"What?"
Alex was startled by the harsh tone of your voice. She had never even heard you use it before. This was a first.
"Are you okay? You haven't eaten with us for the past few days."
"Oh, you have been paying attention? I'm surprised."
"(y/n), what's going on? Did I do something to upset you."
You looked up to find Kara giving you a curious look. It irritated you but you didn't say anything.
"I'm just fine, Alex. Why don't you just go spend some time with Kara? Isn't that what you've been doing for the past few weeks. Spending time with her and ignoring me."
"(y/n)...I"
"Just get out. Get out!"
Alex sighs and walks out of the room with Kara.
"I'm sorry for coming between the two of you. It was not my intention."
"You have nothing to be sorry for Kara. It's my fault."

The next day, you're woken up by Kara and Alex in your room again.
"I told you to get out. What didn't you understand about?"
"We want to spend some time with you. I realized that I've been so preoccupied with Kara that I had been neglecting spending some time with you and I'm sorry. I should've learned how to divide my time between the two of you. I figured it was better if we all spend time together. What do you think?"
You looked at the two of them, unable to find yourself to furious at them. They seemed like they were genuinely sorry and you couldn't blame them for spending as much time with Kara to help her adjust.
"It's okay. Your priority was to help Kara."
"You're my priority too. The two of you are my younger sisters. Now come on. Mom made us pancakes."
You don't bother to change as you rush out of the room to grab some pancakes before Kara eats them.
"Slow down girls. I've made enough for everyone."
You were full by your 3rd that you ended up giving Kara the rest which she happily ate them.
