Despite your fallout with your sisters, you decided to help out Kara one last time. In doing so, you ended up meeting the love of your life, Lena Luthor. You had gone back to National City for a meeting with L-Corp's new CEO and it hadn't take much to convince her to get the cops to drop the charges on Kara. You were truthful about everything, explaining how Kara wasn't necessarily a bad guy, that she was just down on her luck and that had managed to convince Lena that as long everything was paid back, she would take care of the cops. You were grateful and after paying her back, you insisted on taking her out for dinner as a thank you. It's were the two of you discussed all your family problems. She told you about her psychotic brother that had murdered hundreds and you told her about your family that viewed you as the enemy.
After the dinner, the two of you realized you had more in common than you realized and soon enough, the two of you were planning dates every week. A month after the initial date and Lena ended up asking you to be her girlfriend. You were more than happy to say yes.

It's the morning of your birthday and Lena was currently at the airport waiting to pick up your sisters. Lena had wanted to make the day special for you and what better way than to help you with your family. She just hoped that you wouldn't dump her for going behind your back and contacting your sisters that you had practically disowned.
She eagerly waves over at the three women that resembled the women from your family picture.
"You guys must be (y/n)'s sisters, I'm Lena."
Alex and Nia shake Lena's hand while Kara hesitates.
"Listen Lena, I'm sorry about stealing from you. I was in a bad place but I'm getting better. (y/n) made me realize that I was going down a dark path."
Lena gives her a small smile.
"The past is in the past, Kara. Now lets hurry up and head back to my place, (y/n) is going to wake up soon."

You eyed Lena suspiciously after she had laid a breakfast tray on your lap. Lena hated eating in bed for the fact that crumbs would get on her expensive sheets She was definitely up to something.
"Breakfast in bed? Are you sure that you're okay?"
Lena takes a seat besides you, leaning in to kiss you.
"It's your birthday. I thought that you should at least have breakfast in bed for it."
You gave her a smile and pulled her in for another kiss.
"Well thank you, I feel special."
The two of you are quietly talking, simply enjoying the shared breakfast between the two of you when there's the sound of glass breaking.
Lena's eyes widen and that's when you realized that she was definitely hiding something from you.
"Spill Lena."
Lena winces at your tone and rushes through telling you that she had brought your sisters over to celebrate your birthday.
"You had no right, Lena! I told you that they hate me and you go behind my back and bring them for my birthday."
"(y/n), please. If I knew that they were still how you had told me about them, then I would've never brought them but they've changed."
"I don't believe it. It's always 2 months before they go back to the way they were."
"...I've been secretly keeping tabs on them. Kara's actually checked herself into therapy for her impulses, Alex is well on her way to finish her degree and Nia divorced her husband."
"Really?"
"Yes. I know how much you love your sisters and I would hate for the 4 of you to continue to be fighting when I know how much you missed them."
You sigh and nod. The least you could do is hear them out for coming all this way. Sometimes you really hated how forgiving you could be.
"I'll talk to them."
"I'll stay here. Just give me a call if you need anything."

The three of them stand as you walk out of the room. You've changed a lot since the last time they saw you that they could barely believe it was actually you. You looked happier and less stressed.
"You might've fooled Lena into making her think that the three of you changed but I don't believe it for a second."
They all have guilty expressions while looking at you.
"Look, you might not believe us but we have been changing. After what happened at our last dinner together, we realized that if we wanted for our family to not fall apart that we needed to change. That we needed to treat you better. We treated you like our personal wallet for years and often verbally abused you and not once did you turn your back to us. Lena contacted us about a month ago, asking if we wanted to make things better and we took her up on her offer."
"I'm so sorry, (y/n) for everything. For making you deal with all my crimes, for taking money from you and for most importantly, treating you like an outsider. That was never my intention. I got help, I started going to therapy and I even went back to school after finding a job to help me with the tuition."
"and I'm sorry for treating you like dumping all my emotional baggage on you. You tried to help me and I never took your offer. Just string you along and didn't do anything to help myself."
You wiped away the tears that had spilled as you heard them apologize. A year ago, you would've believed that they were lying to you but this was genuine. They were actually sorry. They're all looking at you with worry. Trying to read what you were thinking so they stood still.
"Well what are you waiting for, come give me a hug."
The three of them surround you in a hug, crying out in relief that you hadn't just kicked them out.
"We promise to do better, (y/n)."
Kara tells you. This time, you actually believed that they will get better.
"I believe you."
