You wrapped your arms around your sister as you closed you eyes and waited for the man to shoot you. The gun goes off but you don't feel any pain. Opening your eyes, you find yourself standing in front of Supergirl. In one quick sweep, she disarms him and knocks him out. After making sure that he's not getting up anytime soon, she turns to the two of you.
"Are the two of you okay?"
You give her a a small nod and then turn to pay attention to your sister. She was crying and shaking. You tried to get her to calm down and see that you were fine but she didn't pay any attention to you.
"Sweetie, everything is okay. I took care of the bad man. My friend is already coming to take him to jail."
Your sister lifts her head off of your stomach to look at who was trying to calm her down. Letting out a tiny gasp, she lets go of you and runs to hug Supergirl.
"I knew you would save us!"
Supergirl bends down and carries her in one of her arms, smiling as your sister rests her head on her shoulder.
"Of course, I would. I wasn't going to let anything happen to the two of you."
Just then, an SUV arrives. Where several people climb out of the van to join Supergirl.
"What happened, Supergirl?"
"I'll explain later. Just take him away."
The agent motions for him to be taken away. She turns to look at the two of you, wondering why the two of you were alone in the middle of the night and in a dark alley.
"Where are you parents?"
"I uh.."
Your sister answers before you're able to come up with a lie.
"We don't need any. (y/n) takes care of me."
"(Y/n)?"
You look up as they call for your name.
"What happened to your parents?"
"I don't want to talk about it. Thank you for saving us Supergirl. We'll be on our way. Lets go, (sister's name)."
You gently tugged on her arm but she refused to budge.
"I want to stay with Supergirl. She saved us and I'm tired of sleeping in the cold. She's so warm."
(sister's name) mumbles.
"The two of you are so young. You shouldn't be living out on the streets. We need to take you to the hospital to make sure that neither of you are hurt. I'll contact the police to help find your parents."
"No. We're okay. We don't need hospitals, police or our parents. Lets go (sister's name)."
