You rolled your eyes at their laughs. You knew that you should've kept you mouth shut about what had happened all those years ago when Kara had joined the family. You had skipped over the painful memories, simply just giving them a lighthearted story about how you couldn't stand Kara when she had first arrive. Kara and Alex were the only ones who truly know what happened but they weren't going to fill in the blanks since you weren't doing so.
"Listen, when said alien eats all your pancakes. You would also complain about the fact that you weren't left any to eat."
"Hey! I left you some. You even gave me yours when you couldn't finish them."
"I know! Which is fine because I gave you mine when I couldn't finish them. Now when you just ate without giving me a chance to get some, then that's when we had problems."
"Oh boohoo for the two of you. I had to give up my pancakes to either of you wouldn't fight. You don't see my complaining."
Alex jumps into the argument. You and Kara just laugh, finding it ridiculous that one of the major fights the three of you would have was because of the pancakes.
"Well aren't we all glad that we now make enough make pancakes for the three of us."

It's late at night and you're finally back at your apartment. Kara had insisted for you to stay at her apartment but you refused after knowing that Lena would be staying over. You liked Lena but you knew that with her around, that there was a real chance they would forget you stayed over and you might hear something that you should've hear from your older sister.
You're about to lay down in your bed when you hear the glass break. Not wanting to risk and check who it is, you press the button on the watch Kara handed you and wait for her to arrive. She runs into your room a few seconds later and you could just tell that she had been the one responsible for your broken window.
"You called dear sister?"
Kara asks you in a tone that was anything but sweet. You gulped loudly, making her smirk as she saw the fear in your eyes.
"I'm here. What's the problem? To lazy to go check on what happened to your windows that you had to call me? I was with Lena and you pulled me away."
Kara starts walking to you making you take a step back for every step forward that she takes. When your back hits the wall, Kara wraps her hand around your neck and starts to slowly cut off your air.
"I want you to listen because I'm only going to say this once. I hate you. I've hated you ever since you cried to Eliza and Alex that you felt ignored. They didn't pay attention to you for one day and you couldn't even last long without the attention. Put yourself in my position, I was stuck in the phantom zone for 20 years without anyone. You just couldn't stand the fact that you had to share your family with an alien."
You try to shake your head but Kara presses down on your neck to keep you from moving. It's getting harder and harder to pay attention to anything she's saying and you could tell that Kara was actually going to kill you. You struggled against her hold and that just made her laugh. That's when you notice the red veins. Red Kryptonite. You had watched and seen what happened the last time Kara had been infected.
"K..ara. Thi..this isn't you."
"This isn't me?!"
"I've never felt more like me than ever before"
You closed your eyes not wanting for your last memories of Kara to be likes this. The last thing you hear is someone knocking down your door.

You wake up gasping for air. Alex rushes to your side, helping you take deep breaths.
"It's okay. You're okay. You're throat still needs to heal after what happened?"
She hands you a cup of water and waits until you're done drinking it to explain what happened.
"Lena called us to let us know that Kara was acting strange before taking off. It took us a while to track her down to your apartment but we arrived just in time to stop her from doing anything she would regret."
You nod slowly, not believing that Kara had almost come close to killing you.
"Kara is okay. We've had her under a solar lamp for a few hours but she's refused to come out of her room."
"Need to see her."
Alex sighs and looks to the direction of where Kara was staying. She knew Kara was listening in to the conversation.
"Are you sure?"
You quickly nodded. Kara needed you. It was going to take some time to get over what happened but you had to at least let her know that you didn't blame. Alex helps you get out of your bed and leads you to Kara's room.
"I'll wait outside."
You step into her room, narrowing your eyes to avoid the bright lights.
"(y/n)... you shouldn't...ouf"
You had run up to her to give her the tightest hug you could give. Kara starts to shake in your arms, the beginning tells that she was crying. You don't let go of her until you hear that she's calmed down.
"Not your fault, Kara."
"But I could've killed you."
"You didn't." You give her a small smile. "Once again, Alex comes to the rescue."
Kara gives you a small smile and nods. It was hard not breaking down in front of you after what happened but if you had the strength to visit her after what happened, Kara could have the strength to not breakdown.
"I should go. Alex will get mad if take too long."
She gives you a nod and another hug before you leave. The two of you weren't sure how to act after what happened but there was no doubt in your minds that the two of you could heal with Alex's help.
