The waves crashed gently against the rocks of District Four, causing a peaceful bliss to flow through Adrienne's house. After her Games, she had moved into Victor village, herself getting one house while her family moved in next door.

That was five years ago now. Five years since she survived the Games. Just survived.

She had learned in those five years that there were no victors, only those who were strong enough to get out. As soon as you did, it was the same as it was in the arena; you had to fight to survive.

The girl stood on the balcony, hugging her thin robe around her to keep her bare body protected from the cold morning air. Her platinum hair, now cut to her shoulders instead of her middle back, blew slightly in the breeze.

Behind her, a door opened, and a blonde haired boy walked out. He only sported a pair of black boxers, rubbing a towel on his damp hair.

When he saw the girl, he sighed lightly and tossed the towel on the bed, walking over to her. He wrapped his arms around her waist, resting his head on her shoulder, just as he had done many years ago.

"What are you thinking about, my love?" Finnick asked, pressing a gentle kiss to the side of her neck.

Adrienne sighed. "Everything....yet nothing."

He chuckled lightly at the girl's lost tone. "Wow, such deep words for you."

The girl giggled softly before turning to face the boy. "What's that supposed to mean?"

"That you're not the kind of person to use big, smart people words."

Adrienne just rolled her eyes, pecking his lips before walking back into the house. She could hear her brothers messing around downstairs, causing a small smile to come to her face.

After quickly changing into some pajamas, she turned to face her sorta boyfriend. "Get dressed and come downstairs when you're ready."

"Yes, ma'am." Finnick said, giving her a playful salute and wink.

She giggled again before exiting the room, heading to the downstairs of her house. As she rounded the corner, she was met with a pillow to the face.

"Oh, Addy." Her youngest brother's voice rang out. She looked over and saw Matrix standing on the couch, his eyes wide. "I'm sorry. I was aiming for Niles."

The other boy, who was just a couple years younger than the girl, popped up from behind the couch, a cocky smirk adorned on his face as he looked at Matrix. "And you missed, little brother."

"Shut up."

"Make me."

"I'm about to make both of you." Adrienne objected, taking the pillow and putting it back on the couch. "Is it possible for you not to destroy my house when you come over?"

Sire looked up from the book he was readying at the kitchen table, his legs propped up on the surface. "Never, dear sister. That's why I am your favorite." The boy gave her a cheeky smile.

She rolled her eyes. "Whatever you say, Si."

Just then, Finnick came down from upstairs, now wearing a pair of black jeans and a white shirt that hugged his arms. He said hi to the brothers before sitting down beside the eldest of the three.

Before Adrienne could even sit down, a loud knock came at the door. She knew she wasn't expecting anyone, so she furrowed her brows as she walked towards the front door, throwing it open.

On the other side stood a familiar head of red hair, along with a freckled face and bright smile. Annie Cresta, victor of the sixty-ninth Hunger Games and the fiancée of the eldest Sallow brother; the two had gotten together a couple years ago after having had schoolgirl crushes on one another since they were ten.

"Hi Addy." She greeted happily. "I assume Sire is in there somewhere."

"Sadly." She sighed, opening the door further. The redhead stepped inside just as Sire stepped into the hallway.

"Ouch. That hurt, truly." He said, placing a hand over his heart, before his attention turned to Annie. A smile overcame his features as he saw her, a small spark that was only seen around her. "Hey, An."

The blonde girl decided to leave the two alone, heading back into the dining room where Finnick was inspecting the book Sire had discarded.

The girl went over and sat down on his lap, causing his attention to turn to her. When he saw her distraught look, he set down the book. "My love..." He said, causing her to turn her head and face him. "What's wrong?"

"It's been too quiet." She said softly, not wanting her brothers to hear her. "There's been nothing. For weeks."

She didn't need to elaborate for the blonde boy to understand. "Im sure there's nothing to worry about."

"Snow is not someone to not worry about, Finn. There's something going on, something big, and I have no idea what it is...but it scares me."
