"Isn't this a little...revealing?" Adrienne questioned as she looked down at herself, causing a low chuckle to emit from her stylist's lips. She looked up at where he sat in a chair, his legs cross as he leaned back. "What is so funny?"
"You are, my dear." Serin said as he stood up. "You're so focused on the combat part of the Games, it seems you've forgotten how to play these games. Sexy draws attention, attention creates buzz, and buzz....gets sponsors."
The girl sighed as she turned, taking a look at herself in the mirror. Her dress was made of a golden netting, showing off the tan, skin tight dress she wore underneath. Her hair was pulled up into a tight updo, making sure none of her exposed skin was covered; the back of her dress went to her waistline and her neckline cut down to just below her chest.
"You look incredible, Addy." The man assured her. "Stop doubting yourself."
The girl smiled at him. "Thank you, Serin."
"All tributes to the chariots in ten minutes." A robotic voice echoed through the room.
"Come on." The stylist said, placing a hand on the small of her back and leading her out of the room, heading towards where the chariots park.
When they got there, Adrienne saw only a handful of the tributes already there, including Finnick. She could see him standing by their chariot, chewing on something she could only assume was a sugar cube.
Her suspicions were confirmed as he approached the girl and Serin, smirking as he held the sweet thing between his fingers. "Sugar cube, my love?"
"Why not?" She giggled lightly, taking it from him and popping it into her mouth.
The smirk fell from her face as her eyes landed on Katniss, who was petting the black horse gently. She was wearing all black, and Adrienne knew what that meant; Cinna had put on his special touch.
"I'm going to go talk to her. Okay?" Finnick said softly, hoping not to upset her.
"Why?" She questioned, it coming out a little harsher than she meant, but luckily, he seemed to understand.
"My own curiosity." With that, he leaned forwards and gave the girl a kiss on her cheek before walking away. She heard him call out to her before she could no longer hear them.
Her eyes scanned over all of the victors, all of whom she had met at one point of another. The corner of her lips twitched up as she saw a familiar face.
The victor looked up as Adrienne approached, her harsh glare turning softer at the sight of her old friend. "Addy." She said, happier than usual.
"Hey, Johanna." The blonde said before giving her friend a tight hug.
"Where have you been, girl?" She asked as they pulled away, her face full on confusion. "We used to see each other all the time and then you just...disappeared."
Adrienne shrugged, sighing softly. "Stuff just happened, you know?"
The other girl nodded in reply, her eyes flicking over to someone before a small smile came to her lips. "I think someone else could use a reunion."
The blonde girl, confused, turned around and smiled at who she saw. Cinna was walking into the garage type area, Peeta trailing just behind him.
"Excuse me." She muttered to her friend before rushing over to the man. When she got close, the man turned to her and smiled when he saw who it was. Despite having been five years, she still looked the same. "Cinna!"
"Hey, Adrienne." He said as he hugged the girl, who had wrapped her arms tightly around his neck. "How have you been?"
"Better." She admired as they pulled away, a small smile still on her face, despite her cold eyes.
"Has Serin planned anything for you two?" He asked curiously, causing Peeta to become confused from where he stood a few feet away.
"I'm not sure. He didn't mention anything."
"Ask him about it. Trust me." With that said, he gave her a quick smile before walking away, Peeta trailing behind him.
Adrienne saw Finnick standing once again by their chariot, discussing something with Serin. She approached the two and the blonde immediately smiled, wrapping an arm around his fiancée's waist.
"Cinna said to talk to you about-"
"Your answer is yes." Serin interrupted. "Katniss has a button to activate it; yours is linked to hers. Just be prepared when it happens, it may be a little different than you remember."
