"Where do the careers head to be safest?" Beetee questioned once everyone was gather around, their eyes all on him. "The jungle?"
Adrienne shook her head. "I doubt it."
Johanna nodded, backing up her friend. "Jungle's a nightmare."
"Probably here in the beach." Peeta added.
"Then," The older man said. "Why aren't they here?"
"Because we are. We claimed it." Johanna said in her snarky tone, causing Adrienne to laugh softly under her breath.
"And if we left, they would come?"
"Or stay hidden in the tree line." Finnick said.
"Which in just over four hours will be soaked with water from the ten o'clock wave."
Adrienne sighed, obviously getting annoyed with the little puzzle this man was having them do. "What exactly are you getting at, Beetee?"
The man shot the girl a look before he carried on. "What happens at midnight?"
"Lightning strikes that tree." Katniss told him as she pointed to the large tree on the other side of the jungle.
"Here's what I propose," Beetee started, finally gaining everyone's attention. Well, at least Adrienne's. "We leave the beach at dusk and we head to the lightning tree. That should draw them back to the beach. Prior to midnight, we then run this wire from the tree to the water. Anyone in the water, or on the damp sand, will be electrocuted."
The blonde girl smiled, chuckling lightly. "Not bad, Beetee. Not bad at all." She said, clapping the man on the shoulder.
"How do we know the wire's not gonna burn up?" Johanna questioned sassily.
"Because I invented it." The genius quipped back with a smirk. "I assure you, it won't burn up."
She sighed. "Well, it's better than hunting them down."
Katniss nodded. "Yeah, why not? If it fails, no harm done anyways, right?"
"Alright," Peeta said. "So, we try it?"
Everyone in the group nodded, including the platinum blonde girl, who was liking the idea of being allies with these people more and more.
Finnick stood up, looking down at the man. "So, what can we do to help?"
"Keep me alive for the next six hours?" He said in all seriousness, though Adrienne couldn't help but smirk. "That would be extremely helpful."
The girl laughed softly. "No promises." She said, only half joking.
