Katniss and the two blonde boys had made their small camp on the edge of the beach, the jungle trees to their backsides. Every now and then, she would hear a twig snap, but she wouldn't think much about it, knowing none of the tributes are stupid enough to take them on outnumbered.

A loud scream penetrated the quiet morning air, causing the three tributes to look towards the source. Across the arena, they could make out the sound of waves crashing and the occasional tree falling to the ground.

"That's new." Katniss said as she stood, indicating the large wave that was now rushing towards them. The water kept coming until it got to the cornucopia, flinging itself over its metal walls before disappearing, leaving the water to straighten itself out again.

The brunette's eyes drifted over, where she saw someone standing out on the beach. The girl quickly got her bow out and loaded it.

"Someone's here." She said lowly.

Finnick quickly pressed his back to a tree before peering around the leaves in just enough time to see someone else diving into the water and two more people joining the first couple in the sand. Even from the distance, the blonde could make it out as his female friend from District Seven, which meant only one thing to him.

Adrienne.

"Johanna?" He muttered to himself, wanting to be sure it was her. Not thinking a second longer on it, the boy came out of his hiding spot and ran down the sand towards the group. "Johanna!"

The blood covered girl spun around and sighed in relief as she saw the boy. "Finnick!" She screamed back, gaining the attention of the blonde girl in the water.

Finnick glanced around the group, letting out a huge sigh as he saw his fiancée running out of the water towards him. "Addy!"

The girl ran faster and flung herself at the boy, wrapping her arms around his neck as he gripped her waist tightly.

"I thought I'd lost you." The boy breathed out softly, relived to have her in his arms again.

"Never." She said softly to him. "You could never lose me."

Finnick pulled away from her and furrowed his brows. "What happened to you?"

"Well," Johanna's bitter voice erupted, causing the happy couple to look at her. "I got them out. We were all the way deep into the jungle
where I thought it was gonna be safe.
That's when the rain started. I thought it was water; it turned out to be blood."

"Tick tock." Wiress said, rushing up and placing her hand on the angry girl's shoulder, who just shrugged her off.

"Hot, thick blood. It was coming down... we were stumbling around, gagging on it blind. "

"That's when Blight ran into the forcefield." Adrienne lifted her arm. "I got knocked back from the pressure; must have hit something sharp." The cut caused Finnick's eyes to go wide as he gently grabbed her arm to look at it. The boy sighed and just gave his girl a gentle kiss on her cheek.

Johanna nodded sadly but her anger didn't go away. "He wasn't much, but he was from home."

Wiress was still stumbling around, seeming to be losing her mind. "Tick tock."

Katniss finally seemed to notice, too. "What's wrong with her?"

Adrienne sighed. "She's in shock."

"Dehydration isn't helping." Beetee said form his place on the sand, looking up at the brunette girl. "Do you have fresh water?"

She nodded. "We can get some."

The blonde girl from District Four giggled lightly, pulling away from her fiancé and spreading her hands out. "Finally!" She shouted as she walked towards the waves, looking back at Finnick with a smile.

The blonde boy just shook his head and followed her, the two going to the water. Seeming to go back to their home.
