Adrienne was awoken by her doorbell rapidly ringing, followed by a loud knocking on her door. She heard Finnick groan beside her, stretching out as he flipped the duvet off of him. The girl stayed with with her eyes closed, trying to go back to sleep.
The blonde boy chuckled lightly before pressing a kiss to her temple, throwing on some sweatpants before heading downstairs.
A few moments passed before Adrienne heard talking from the foyer, the voices sounding happy and welcoming. The girl finally peeled her eyes open, trying to listen closer to the voices.
"Yeah," She barely heard Finnick's voice say. "It's good to see you."
She furrowed her brows and sat up, pulling her warm robe around her nightclothes. With the wood floors cold under her feet, she made her way down the stairs. The girl rounded the corner and smiled widely when she saw who was standing there with ear boyfriend.
"Fleurie!" She said happily, rushing up to hug the woman. The escort hugged her back immediately, happy to see the victor after almost a year. "What are you doing here?"
"We came to get you ready." She said as the two girl's pulled away, causing Adrienne to furrow her brows again.
"For what?"
She sighed softly. "President Snow has invited the two of you to the Capital for the victor's ball."
"Why?" Finnick spoke up, now curious himself.
"You're victors, of course."
Adrienne could tell she wanted to say something more, but she bit her tongue, so the blonde girl let it go. "So, when do we start?"
"As soon as you allow us." A smooth voice said.
The victor whipped her head in the man's direction and rushed up to him, not having seen him since her victory tour five years ago.
"Serin." She sighed as she hugged him tightly, the stylist returning the gesture.
"It's good to see you, my dear." He said, chuckling lightly. "You've grown."
"It has been awhile." The girl laughed back as she pulled away.
"Now, now," Fleurie rushed. "Let's not waste time. The train leave in approximately two hours and we are nowhere near ready."
The group laughed and Fleurie just rolled her eyes, obviously having been dead serious before. Oh how Adrienne has missed her.
