No one was sure how long they were running, just that it was hot, and none of them had any water. Finally, after probably close to ten minutes, they stopped to catch their breath.

"I think...we're in the clear." Beetee said as he crouched down, removing his glasses momentarily to wipe the sweat from his head.

"We need to find water somehow." Blight sighed.

"Where?" Johanna sassed him. "We're in the middle of this stupid jungle. We don't even know where the others are."

"But we'll find them. We just have to keep moving." The man from District Seven said. "Come on, let's go."

With that said, the group started walking again. Blight took the lead, and Adrienne flanked the group, making sure they could get attacked from behind.

"How are you holding up?" Johanna asked, falling into step beside the blonde girl, who just sighed.

"I could be better." She answered honestly, her eyes locked on the jungle floor, making sure she didn't trip over anything.

"He's going to be ok, you know." Johanna told her, recognizing the far away look on her face. "Finnick is strong. He's a fighter."

"I know. I just can't help but worry about him."

The girls were silent as they walked, not saying anything more to one another. It wasn't until the sky grew dark that they finally sat down to rest. While the others fell asleep, Adrienne stayed up, holding her spear across her lap.

She tapped her fingers gently across the cold metal as she laid her head back against a tree. Little did she know that, across the arena, Finnick was doing something similar.

He sat awake, watching his allies as they slept. Except Katniss, of course, who he could tell was still awake by her shallow breaths.

He could feel his eyes growing heavy, but before he could doze off, the anthem of the Capital started playing. Recognizing the sound, the three tributes looked towards the sky, seeing the faces of the fallen displayed on the sky.

Finnick held his breath, hoping and praying that the face of his love wouldn't appear. As soon as he saw someone from District Eight pop up, however, he sighed heavily.

She was alive. At least for now.
