When Jessica Hargrove was younger, she lived in California. She loved every minute of it with the ocean, seagulls, and most of all, her twin brother was by her side most of the time.
They both loved their parents with all of their hearts but grew the closest to their mother. When they found out that she left, it broke their hearts.
Billy Hargrove started to bury his kind and passionate side, bringing out his rebellious and angry part. While this happened to Billy, Jessica just kept wondering why their mother would leave them.
When their dad remarried, everything changed. Jessica loved her new younger sister and spent time with her whenever she could.
They shared secrets, laughed, and became connected at the hip, while Billy resented their parents and turned the cold shoulder to both the girls.
While the twins slowly drifted apart, they had an unspoken agreement that nothing happened to Max. They knew their dad was terrible but didn't want him to corrupt her. So, when Billy was late, and Niel was going to hurt someone, it was always Jessica.
When Billy realised that she did this after he got home, he would go into her room. If she got beaten up that night, he would pick a fight with their dad.
Jessica would then go to his room to set up medical supplies getting ready to help. Billy would always shake his head when he saw her sitting on his bed with a wipe in hand, but reluctantly let her fix him.
Somethings, he still kept to himself and guarded but mostly liked that his sister was still so caring towards him when his father wasn't.
The new family moved to Hawkins, Indiana when the twins were seniors in high school with their younger step-sister Maxine. And this, my friends, is where the story begins.
