The Spy part 2
________________________

Steve woke up with someone shaking him, repeating his name. He opened his eyes to see his mother next to him.

"Hey, kiddo we came home early to make sure you ate a good breakfast." His mother smiled softly at him.

For a little while, he felt annoyed and yet at peace. He then realised that Jessica was still in the guest room.

His mom left, letting him know that breakfast would be ready in five minutes. Steve rushed around, getting dressed and then ran into Jessica's room.

When he got there she was nowhere to be found. Then, he heard a toilet flush and his head whipped to the left. Jessica came out of the bathroom, confused with how Steve looked.

For a second, all of the panic that was in Steve left and was replaced with awe. Jessica was still wearing his clothes, her hair was messed up, and she still looked a little bit tired. She snapped him out of it when she asked if everything was okay.

"My parents are downstairs right now."

"Oh, I know, your mom woke me up and I told her we were working on a school project and we didn't see how late it was so I slept over. I also explained that you aren't cheating on Nancy with me, and she invited me to breakfast."

Steve was in shock. His mom didn't like anyone, even him sometimes. His mom hadn't approved of any of his friends, and if they came over, she kicked them out before dinner.

"Oh, okay." It seemed as though he already got his mother's approval for Jessica before he got it for Nancy.

After Jessica got dressed, the two teens walked downstairs to be greeted by a happy Mr. and Mrs. Harrington. Steve could sense that something was off since his dad was usually in his office, and his mom was in her sewing room.

Once they had finished with an awkward breakfast consisting of Steve's parents staring at them in silence, they left to pick up supplies for the hunt.

They got uncooked meat, rubber gloves, plastic buckets, gasoline, and a crowbar. Of course, the cashier gave them a weird look but overall decided to ignore it and not ask any questions.

When Dustin finally forgave them for shopping without him, he let them know where he was thinking of doing the capturing. He had Steve pull over next to some woods in order for them to walk the rest of the way.
