The Pollywog part 2
____________________After school Jessica was waiting by Billy's car again with him, only this time a random chick was with him too.
Jessica didn't want to go home since that would mean listening to the two of them 'study'.
"So, your sister coming or what?" The obnoxious red-head asked the twins.
Billy checked his watch, realising that she was later than normal. "Screw it. That little shit can skate home." He threw down his cigarette, getting ready to drive. "And don't call her that."
"What?"
"Sister. She's not my sister."
Jessica hit Billy in the back of the head for what felt like the millionth time.
"Yeah, I don't wanna hear you guys bone, so I'm going to find Max."
"Are you sure? I can drop you off somewhere else."
"Nah it's okay, I wanna make sure that my sister is safe." Jessica put an emphasise on sister to make the point of what she was to her.
As soon as she was out of the way of the car, Billy rolled his eyes and pulled out of the parking space. Jessica knew that it was an okay walk and thought it would be good to think some things over.
If she was pregnant, then she would keep the baby and raise it on her own unless Tommy wanted to help, but she was certain he wouldn't want anything to do with them.
Jessica knew that if she had the baby, then she would have to move out of the house. She couldn't have her dad finding out she was pregnant either, so she needed to move out soon.
If he found out, then things that she didn't even want to imagine would happen. She wondered if Billy would get an apartment with her to make the cost less.
Finally, Jessica reached the Middle School and saw a little girl with brown curly hair standing at the bikes. She hoped that the girl wasn't going to ride away so that she could as some questions.
When the girl took off towards the school, Jessica had her answer. She called out to the girl as to not get left behind, "Hey, do you go to school here? Do you know where I can find my sister Max?"
When she reached the middle schooler, she just stared up at her with a blank look on her face.
"Are you looking for someone too?"
The girl just responded with a nod and name, "Mike."
"Alright, if you don't want to talk I won't make you, but I'm going to follow you, I don't want to get lost in there."
The younger girl nodded and began into the school. The two girls looked around the hallways together, not sure where to look first.
"I know I said you didn't have to talk, but what's your name?"
"El," was all the girl replied with before looking both ways and turning to the right to continue their search.
Jessica wondered if she should be following a strange little girl around the school when she didn't even know what Max looked like. Well, that was until they passed by the gym and heard a young boy and Max talking.
When both of them turned around, and Jessica realised that the boy must have been who El was looking for.
Taking a closer look at the young boy Jessica recognized him from the people Billy almost hit and thought he had to have been the kid not letting Max into their party.
Jessica didn't know why they were just standing at the door or why she was even still with the little girl instead of going in and greeting them.
Looking down at El, Jessica saw that El seemed sad with what was happening before their eyes. She could tell that El was jealous of Max and wished to be in the gym with Mike instead.
When El tilted her head to the side, Max flew off of her skateboard. El appeared to be tearing up, at the fact that Mike helped Max up.
Jessica was extremely confused with everything that happened in a short span of time. It seemed like El had pulled on Max's board, making her fall, but that was crazy.
El suddenly turned to the older girl, "You can't tell anyone I was here. Against the rules. Understand?"
"Sure, I understand." Jessica nodded her head, afraid of what else she could do besides make Max fall.
El quickly turned around and left without another word. As soon as she was gone, Mike barged out of the double doors looking around.
He rushed over to Jessica once he saw that she was there. "Was there anyone else here? Did you see anyone else?"
All Jess could do was respect the little girl's wishes and shake her head 'no'. That clearly upset the boy when he threw his head back exasperated.
Max came through the doors next with her skateboard asking why Jessica was there.
"You were late to the car and Billy took off, so I thought that I'd find you to make sure you were okay."
Abruptly, a young boy's voice came through Mike's walkie-talkie. "Guys, I found him."
Then another one's, "Where?"
"In the bathroom by Mr. Salerno's."
Mike responded with a quick, "Copy that," before turning back to the two sisters to get them to follow him.
While running, Jessica turned to Max asking "Whose him?"
Only to get in response, "Dart."
With a lot of confusion going on in the bathroom with not finding Dart and then realising that Will wasn't where he lead them to. Panic arose in all of them, not knowing where he was.
Jessica let out a small breath, "Shit."
