The Mind Flayer part 2
____________________________

When Jessica woke up, she was on the floor of someone's living room. Her head was in Max's lap while she played with her hair.

Jessica slowly took in her surroundings of Will laying on the couch with Jonathan kneeling next to him, Nancy comforting Jonathan, Hopper was on the phone, all the kids were in the kitchen, and Steve was at Jessica's feet.

"Hey," Steve realised that Jessica had woken up, "You were out for a little while. Are you feeling okay?"

"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine." Jessica started to sit up while holding her head. "Just a little tired, I guess. Don't worry. I'll live."

Hopper suddenly slammed down the phone, frustrated with the people on the other end of it.

"They didn't believe you, did they?" Dustin asked.

Jessica, Max and Steve made their way into the kitchen to plan with the rest of the group.

"We'll see," was the best answer he could give the kid.

This, however, didn't satisfy Mike, "'We'll see'? We can't just sit here while those things are loose!"

Jessica didn't want to think about what would happen if a demogrogon showed up at the house. She decided to take a little walk around the house to clear her head.

The floor, walls, and some of the ceiling were covered with drawings. They just looked like lines to her but most likely meant something to the group.

She travelled down a hallway looking for the bathroom to get some alone time. She thought it would be weird to just go into someone else's room, so bathroom it was.

Unfortunately, Jessica chose the wrong door and found Mrs. Byers crying on her bed.

"Oh, I'm so sorry. I was looking for the bathroom." Jessica began to leave.

"No, it's okay. I'd like some company from someone who doesn't really know me."

Jessica didn't say anything, as she walked over to the bed and sat down. She wrapped her arms around her shoulders and started to rub her arms in a comforting way.

Joyce fell apart in Jessica's arms. Her sobs got louder as she tried to muffle them by putting her head in Jessica's shoulder.
