The Flayed part 2
_____________________________

Jessica gave Violet over to Dustin so that she would for sure make it out alive. They all watched as two Russians grabbed some boxes while making small talk in the elevator. When they heard the vehicle start to drive away, the group dropped down to the elevator floor.

Tommy ran out first with Jasper, and Dustin followed behind quickly with Violet safely in his arms. The elevator door started to close fast, and Steve jumped down off the ladder to prop it open with the tube of goo.

Erica then threw her backpack and the baby bag on the floor for Steve to push through, hopped down and crawled under with Robin quick behind her.

Jessica was certain that when she was under the collapsing door that it would crush her before she could make it all the way through but was thoroughly surprised when Steve was able to make it through as well.

The group scrambled to get to their feet while they heard the mystery liquid sizzle as it burned a hole through the floor.

"Jesus Christ," Steve mumbled in awe.

Everyone huddled around in a circle to get a good look at the goo, "You still wanna drink that?" Robin asked Erica.

"Holy mother of God," Dustin commented when he turned around to be faced with how far they had to walk to find human life.

"Well hope you guys are in good shape. Looking at you, roast beef." Steve patted Dustin as he passed by and began the long walk.

Jessica swiftly took Violet from Dustin's arms and caught up with Steve.

"Let's go." Steve pushed for the group to follow him down the hallway.

"Why me?" Dustin quietly asked Robin.

Most of the time walking down the seemingly endless hallway, Jessica spent thinking about what was happening out on the surface. She worried that something really was wrong with Billy and that Max and El had figured it out.

Whatever it was she knew that if Max was the one to approach him, then it wouldn't end well and wished that she could be up there to help her out. Robin made some type of small talk with the smaller girl that walked beside her.

Steve talked more with Dustin about his camp experience but mainly listened as he watched Jessica's face contort from her thinking happy thoughts to a worried expression. Tommy was left talking to himself, mumbling something about Carol better have called.
