Jessica was sitting on her couch, waiting for her friends to arrive at her apartment for a game night. Billy had left to give her some space and told her to call him if she needed anything.

Once Robin and Steve had shown up, the chaos had begun. They were playing cards with movies on in the background and cracking jokes whenever they could.

The trio was flying through their snacks of chips, ice cream, and candy. The night had flown by in a flash as secrets were shared and dances became out of hand.

Steve and Robin were supposed to leave around midnight to go home and get rest for work but ended up passing out on the couch. Jessica couldn't bring herself to wake them up as they were completely knocked out.

She had been sleeping for about an hour when she heard movement in the kitchen. In fear that it was burglars, she brought her crowbar up close to her chest and crept towards the kitchen.

When she got there, she saw Robin laying on the counter and Steve rifling through her pantry.

"What the hell are you two doing?" Jessica questioned as she lowered her crowbar.

While her two friends tried to come up with an answer, she focused on a weird popping feeling and what was running down the side of her leg. It felt like she was peeing, but she couldn't stop it.

"Guys, shut up for a second." Jessica waved her hand for emphasis.

"Well, that's rude." Steve turned to look at Robin.

Robin looked back at Steve as her eyes widened in realisation.

"Did your water just break?" Robin hesitantly asked Jessica, who was still staring at the ground.

"Yeah," Jessica whispered frightenedly while she slowly lifted her head to meet their gaze.

Steve went straight into panic mode as he ran into Jessica's room to find her packed hospital bag. Robin started to help Jessica out of the apartment and grabbed a key. Jessica walked along with Robin in shock that it was happening a week early.

The trio made it into the car and began driving to the nearest hospital. Once they arrived, Jessica was ushered into a hospital room and was told that a nurse would be in to check on her in a little bit.

Robin told Steve to stay with Jessica as she went to call Billy, Max, and Tommy. Thankfully, Jessica had put all of their numbers in the hospital bag since she knew that she would be in too much pain to talk.

By the time Robin had come back into the room, Jessica was only two centimeters dilated. The doctor told Jessica that all she had to do was rest and wait for her to dilate to ten centimeters. The contractions were about fifteen minutes apart.

Steve was standing by Jessica's head and ran his hand through her hair to help keep her calm. Ten minutes later, Billy ran through the door as Jessica was in the middle of her set of contractions.

The first thing he saw when he entered was Jessica holding both of her friend's hands for support as the contractions were only uncomfortable for the time being and not painful. Billy went to stand by Robin and reminded Jessica to breathe through the discomfort.

Five more hours had passed, and it was now six in the morning. Tommy and her family were in the room with Jessica as she continued to have contractions and dilate.

Steve and Robin ended up going home to get some sleep since they had a shift at 'Scoops Ahoy!' at ten in the morning, and Jessica was only dilated five centimeters.

Once Jessica had dilated to nine centimeters and the discomfort transferred into pain, the doctor had her family leave the room as he needed to prepare for the birth.

Tommy had gone to most of the Lamaze classes with Jessica and knew to be respectful and encourage her through the agonizing time.

The doctor started to have Jessica push which resulted in her yelling. Jessica's hair was matted down to her head due to sweat, and her hand gripped Tommy's like her life depended on it. Jessica sat up straighter and began to push with all her might.

Tommy was reminding her of the breathing technique they had learned and to imagine a head coming out. After twenty minutes of excruciating pushing and yelling, a head started to appear.

Jessica could see a little bit of brown hair which caused her to push even harder in hopes of the pain stopping for even a second. The first baby was fully out and announced that it was the girl.

The doctors took the baby girl away to clean her off and make sure that there weren't any complications. Eighteen minutes later, Jessica felt her next contraction begin as the doctor yelled that the next baby was about to be born.

Jessica rolled her eyes due to the pain and began to push again. Since she had just given birth, she knew what breathing technique to do and when to push. It took about thirty minutes for the baby to fully come out.

The doctors took the boy baby away as well to clean it and check for complications. In that time Tommy and Jessica started to go through their list of names for the twins.

The doctors soon brought the babies back to the parents and gave the boy to Jessica and the girl to Tommy. They just sat there for a while staring at the babies faces and taking in the precious moment.

After a little bit, they called the rest into the room to meet their new children.

"Meet Jasper Alexander Hargrove and Violet Ann Hargrove," Jessica announced.

Max gushed over the cute baby faces and the fact that they were already swaddled up in a blanket. Jessica had Max hold Jasper first as she was his godmother.

The whole family and Carol took turns holding the babies and making comments on them before the doctor had them leave to give Jessica time to rest.

Once Steve and Robin were released from their shift at four o'clock, they rushed straight to the hospital in hopes that the babies had been born. Unfortunately, once they had gotten there, Jessica was passed out from exhaustion.

However, Tommy let them into the room and introduced them to his new children. Tommy let Steve and Robin hold his kids for a short time before the doctor told him that they had to wake Jessica up in order to feed them.

The rest of the day was filled with the party coming in and congratulating Jessica on a major step in her life.
