Sally sat down beside Sonic's bed, and grabbed his hand. And she noticed, something was bothering Shadow. "Shadow, are you okay?" She asked. Then, she saw a tear fall from his cheek. "Shadow..?" She questioned again.
"T-these two... Have been like brothers to me... Since we took in Silver.." He softly cried. "Now look at them... Trying to k-kill one another.." He sobbed. "Shadow... It's not your fault!" Sally exclaimed. "Yes... It is. I'm the big brother out of us all... And l-look what good of a job I've done..." He cried.
"Shadow... We all make mistakes. But that's also what makes us unique and... Humane." Sally tried to cheer him up. Then, he just stood up and wiped the tears from his eyes. "Where are you going??" Sally asked. "I'm going to find Silver." He said, as he closed the room door.

Silver
Ironic... Isn't it. Rainy, and destroyed. All depressing, like the situation. And it's all because of... Him. That stupid moron.
But... This feeling.. I can't believe it. Hell, I can't describe it. I can't believe that, for that instant... I actually wanted to... Kill Sonic... Kill. The brother I almost wanted, I fought to the death for. I now... Fought to death with.
Where ever the hell he is, I just wonder... What was going through his mind. What was he thinking, when he charged at me. Did he... Really want to end this? To end everything we built up, not only as best friends, but as brothers in arms?
Whatever it is, it's gone now. And I'm never going back. What I will do... Is find that arrogant bastard. Swift... It just makes my stomach hurt thinking of him. And when I find him, I will slit his damn throat. Then finally... I'm going to find Sonic. Then he's next.
But, first thing is first. I have to go back to GUN... That has all the supplies I need. Not only that... But I need to see Blaze. This may be the last I ever see of her. I need to apologize... For everything. And say goodbye. One last time.

At GUN, Blaze was fast asleep in the room she stayed in. The storm Shadow warned of was approaching, and the wind howled loudly through out the base. But, she woke up to a silent screeching sound. She instinctively looked straight at the window.
At the window, was Silver. She gasped loudly, then opened the window. When she did, Silver fell straight down in to the floor. "Oh my god!! Silver!!" She gasped loudly. "Hey baby.." He tried to smile. She picked him off the floor, and hugged him tightly.
"You look like hell!!" She cried out. "I know..." He sighed deeply. "Why aren't you in the infirmary!! Why did you run away!!!" She cried into his shoulder. "I'm so sorry Blaze...But I can't tell you. And... I had to come to you." He said. "Wait, why-" She then stopped.
"No.. No you can't!" She shouted. "I'm sorry B..." He sighed. She fell straight into his shoulder and cried hard. "I love you baby. So this is... Goodbye." He smiled through his tears. "NO!!! YOU CAN'T LEAVE ME AGAIN!!!" She cried even louder.
He then kissed her forehead, then began to walk away. But, she jumped on his back, and hugged him from behind. "Please... Come home.." She cried. "I can't come home right now... I love you Blaze. Never forget that." He said, then kissed her. He didn't ever want to let go of her again.
She closed her eyes, in pleasure of the kiss. But, she couldn't open them back up. She was instantly asleep. "I'm sorry baby..." Silver sighed, as he threw a glass tube that read, 'sleep serum' on it. He laid her back down, then shut the door.
He peeked around the hallways, checking if any guards or soldiers were walking around in this time of the night. Thankfully, there weren't. He ran around the corner, to the end of the hall. On his right, was the hallway to the armory and equipment.
He snuck by the sleeping guards, inside the armory. He walked over to the wing-suits first thing, even though he could fly. He got the suit then walked over to the weapons. There were all kinds of guns he recognized from the war.
"Bingo." He said happily, as he picked up his standard handgun, and the automatic rifle he carried. "This isn't smart Silver..." He heard a deep voice in the back. He knew the voice, so he didn't turn around. "Get back to Sonic, Shadz. I'm on my own." Silver states.
"This solo man thing is suicide Silver! I'm not letting you do this- "Oh like Rouge? Like Blaze? They aren't letting me do this' either. Are you on their side now!!!" Silver yelled in anger. Shadow just sighed deeply. "I'm not siding with anybody. I just want to keep the two most important things I can't live without..! That's my brothers and Rouge.." He said.
Silver turned around and looked at him for a second. "Shadow... This, is my path now. And I don't want anybody to stop me." He said, as he put his feet into the legs of the suit. "I'm not pushing from this path. I just don't want you going in it alone." Shadow said.
"Then join me if you're worried so much! And while you're at it go get idiot!!" Silver yells. "Don't speak about each other like that!!! You've been like brothers to me since the day we took you in Silver!! And you and Sonic... Tried to kill each other!!" He shouted.
Silver closed his eyes and sighed. Silver zipped up the suit, and put the handgun in his holster. Then, he ran up to Shadow. But not to hit him. He ran up and hugged him. "We missed you Shadz... But once again, I have to say goodbye." Silver said, then got off.
Shadow slightly smiled. "I hope to see you on the other side Silver." He smiled. "You too. If this is our final goodbye, I'll see you up with the big man one day." Silver said, then slung the rifle around him. Silver turned around, then walked back out the door.

Sally kept trying to stay awake, waiting for Sonic to wake up. She didn't want to be asleep when he finally awakens. She had her hand on his, but then felt a twitch. She looked up at him in shock. "Sonic!!" She said in joy. "S-ssi.." He couldn't finish.
"What is it??" She questioned. "S-Silv-ver..." He said. She understood what he was saying. "They never found him blue... In sorry.." She said in defeat. "Good.." He said in happiness, then laid back down. "Good?! What are you talking about?!" She freaked out.
"He's f-finally gone.." Sonic said happily. "Sonic!! How could you say that!!!" Sally yelled in anger and disgust at him. "I will find him though... And when I do... I will kill him." Sonic said in slight anger, remembering everything that happened in the fight to the death.
Sally stood up, and stormed out of the room. "Wait! Sally!!" Sonic yelled, as he tried to get out of the bed. When he got up, the first step he took, he crumbled to the floor in pain. "Ahh!!" He screeched in his weakness. When he tried to get up, he felt hands around him.
"What the- He got cut off, because he was pinned against the wall. He saw Shadow, cornering him and pinning him against the wall by the shoulders. "You idiot.." Shadow said to him. "Look who decided to finally take a side. You with Silver now I'm guessing?" He said.
"I'm not taking any damn side!! Look at you!! How the hell could you try and kill each other.." Shadow said in anger. "You will never understand Shadow... You just never will.." Sonic sighed. He then let go of Sonic. "C'mon." Shadow said, as he walked away.
"Where are we going..?" Sonic questioned. "You're going to tell Sally goodbye... Then we leave for Soleanna." Shadow explained. "Wait... We're leaving... Now..?" He said depressed. Shadow sighed and nodded. Sonic did the same.
He left Shadow's side, then went to look for Sally.
