One More Day

"*yawns* well baby I think I'm going to bed. That plane ride wasn't the best." Sonic said. "I'll be right behind you blue, just gonna put my stuff up." Sally added with a smile. Cream ran up and hugged Silver. "Goodnight Mr. Silver!" She said happily. "Goodnight pretty girl." He smiled back at her.

He grabbed her hand, and lead her to her room. "We'll see you in the morning." He said, and kissed her forehead. She closed her door, and hopped into bed. "You're going to make a great dad honey." Blaze smiled. Silver and Blaze were about to jump into bed, but they heard the door fly open. Rouge walked in, not looking so good.

"Heya Rouge!" Silver said, happy to see her. She didn't say one word, but just looked at him. She ran straight at him. He thought she was going to hit him, but instead she hugged him tightly. "I'm so... Sorry.." She cried into his ear. She hopped off of him, and ran off into her room.

"Rouge wait!" Blaze yelled. Silver stopped her. "She just needs time Blaze.." Silver said faintly. Blaze looked back at him, and even he had a couple tears falling. "Let's get to bed Silv. I want you to get that off your mind."

Blaze said, hugging him from behind.
They walked into their room, and started to get dressed.
She watched with joy as she saw Silver take his shirt off. She couldn't get her eyes off of shirtless Silver. "Mmm honey.." Blaze said lovestruck. He winked at her, and slid his pants off. He put his long baggy pajama pants on,
and flipped his boots and gloves off.

He turned around, and put his gloves on the table. When he turned around, Blaze gasped. "Silver!" She yelled with fear. "What? What is it?!" He said concerned. Blaze jumped out of bed swiftly. "Baby turn around!" She said loudly to him.

Confused, he turned around as she asked. She gasped loudly when she looked at his back. He knew exactly what she was looking at. "Silver... Is this... A sword scar!!" She yelled with worry. "*sigh* yes..." Silver answered.
"Silv, why did you hide this from me?" She asked scared.

"Because... It was in the past! I don't want you to worry about things that happened during our time!" Silver added. She looked into his amber eyes with worry. He turned around and hugged her tightly.

"Please Silver... Don't hide this stuff from me! I worried enough as it is when you were in service!" Blaze said. "Just don't worry about it hun. I just don't want you afraid. I'm finally back, and I don't want you being upset, okay?" Silver smiled. She smiled back.

"Okay. Now let's get to sleep." She kissed him on the cheek. He laid down in bed right beside her, and turned the light off with his powers. He closed his eyes, only to open them back up in shock. Blaze hopped ontop of him.

"Although... There won't be much sleeping tonight baby." She smiled seductively.
She put her hands on Silver's chest, and they both started kissing passionately. He wrapped his arms around her, and unhooked her bra.

That's when Blaze pulled the covers completely over the two.

Rouge

"Shadow... Can you hear me? If you can, I miss you so much. Not a day goes by, where I don't think of you. With you gone.. I can't think. I can't sleep. Even though, this is still hard sleeping alone. I continued to look forward to sleeping next to my Shadz again. But now.. I can't.

Everything you had done for me, now is special. If you can see me, I organized the room so you could finally put that new TV in you loved so much.
Oh... Where have the days gone honey.. If only I could have just one more day. Just one more time..."

Flashback

"C'mon Shadow, keep the blindfold on!" Rouge said happily. "Ugh.. How much further." Shadow said grumpily. "Just a little bit further... And... Take it off!" She said. Shadow grunted, then pulled off his cloth blindfold. They were both at a nice peaceful picnic spot.

"Oooo! Where should we sit hun!" Rouge said excitedly. She saw the perfect spot. It was a calm and shady tree. She pulled on his arm to go over to the tree. They sat down, and brought the radio and picnic basket out.
Rouge turned the radio, and her favorite song was playing. "Oh Shadow, I love this song!" She said softly.

The song was "Slipped Away" by Avril Lavigne. "It's alright.." He said. She turned the radio up louder.

"The day... Yo-ou.. Slipped away!
Was the day... I found it won't be the sa-ame!"

Her favorite song, finally made her remember something. Her smile faded. "Rouge..?" Shadow said curiously. She looked up at him with a depressed and fearful look. She hugged him out of nowhere. He hugged her back to comfort her.

"Why do you have to go... Please don't leave me!" Rouge said, starting to shed tears. He pulled her off of him. "I'm sorry Rouge.. I don't have a choice. If I could stay, I would." Shadow said in a sad tone.

"What if you don't even come back to me!" She cried harder. He pulled her into his chest. "I WILL come back to you Rouge. I promise.." He said faintly with a smile. She still sobbed into him. "And, I don't tell you enough. But... Rouge I love you.." Shadow said softly.
Rouge looked up from her tears. "I l-love you too.." She said. He rubbed the tears off of her cheek with her thumb, and kissed her.

"Why... I w-wanted you to say those words to me a-again.." Rouge cried to herself. She laid down in her bed in the darkness, and cried Into her pillow.
Cccrreeeekkkk...

Rouge looked up from her pillow at the door. She could see the crack of a faint light. "Ms. Rouge..?" She heard a soft voice said. She saw Cream, walk slowly into her room. "Can I sleep with you?.. I had a bad dream." She said. Rouge smiled at her through her tears. "Get on up her baby girl." She said.

Cream cheered, and ran up to the bed. Then, she noticed something. "Ms. Rouge? Why are you crying?" Cream asked. Rouge didn't know how to answer. "Oh.. Dang tears. Never seem to go away." Rouge smiled and wiped the last tear off her cheek.

"It's okay Ms. Rouge, Mr. Shadow is in a better place now." Cream said. That made Rouge's heart melt. Cream hugged her to comfort her. "Ms. Sally said if you look into the stars, you can see your loved ones." She said. Rouge smiled.

"That's right baby girl." She sniffed again. "Now, let's go to sleep." She kissed Cream in the forehead. They both laid back down and fell asleep.
