11 - Start Of A Long Day

Althea woke up very early the next day. She could not control herself to get thrilled at her itinerary for the day. She does not know how long she will spend her day with Thirdy, but a simple thought of being with Thirdy makes her very delighted.

She smiles when her phone rings. That is her wake up call from the lobby. She vibrantly answers the phone and got even more ecstatic upon hearing the voice from the other line.

"Wake up call, Ms. Althea." She heard a familiar voice said.

"Thank you for this call, Thirdy." She sweetly uttered and she heard him chuckles. "Stop laughing. I know it is you." She said.

"You got me there. Breakfast will be served in thirty minutes. Therefore you only have half an hour to prepare for a long day today." Thirdy said.

"I'll be quick." She said and hangs up after their goodbyes.

She sat on the edge of her bed after she stops herself from going out of her room. She does not want Thirdy to see her excitement on their so-called 'date' today. How canshe deny her excitement if she is already awake almost an hour before the wake up call. She shook her realizing it is very unusual for her to wake up before six in the morning.

Her anticipation soars high upon recalling Thirdy's statement about having a long day today. She does not know what's in store for her and Thirdy on this 'date' but she refrain on having high expectation as both of them have their individual relationship as of the moment.

Technically, today will be one of the very few days Thirdy and her will spend alone with each other for the whole day. Before she left for Italy, they may also had had their usual dates but they spend very little time with each other on those instances. There was also time they were able to spend few days with each other and that was when Thirdy gave her a surprised visit in Italy on her graduation day. She was very happy to spend those days with Thirdy not realizing that it would be their last.

Now she felt the same thrill and she hopes that no unusual incident will happen. Her phone suddenly vibrates and she saw Harold number blinks on her phone screen. She releases a sigh before she takes the call. "Good morning, sweet." She greeted.

"Did I wake you up?" Harold asked, and she is thankful that her boyfriend sounds calmer now than the previous night.

"Nope, I am already awake and ready to have my breakfast today." Althea replied.

"It is still early there. Why not take advantage of the free time to get more sleep." Harold said.

"You know that I usually wake up at six in the morning. How you about, why are you still up, it's passing eleven there." Althea said.

"I just want to say good morning and good night to my girl before I hit the bed." Harold said.

"That is so sweet." Althea said.

"I know." Harold said, laughing. "What is your itinerary for today since the convention will start tomorrow?" he asked.

"I plan a city tour today. It's been a long time since I visited Cebu. I would like to see the changes." Althea replied.

"Are you going on a tour alone?" Harold asked.

Althea got mum for a while as she does not know if she will tell Harold that she will be with Thirdy for the city tour. "Thirdy offered to come with me." She said as she chooses to tell Harold the truth.

It took a while before she hears Harold again. "Enjoy your city tour then." He said and Althea is thankful that he did not start another argument upon hearing her ex-boyfriend's name. "I will call you later before I report for work." He added.
