19 - Dear

At night, Althea is still pre-occupied with the thought about Harold. She would like to talk to Harold as soon as possible but she could not reach him. She is checking on her emails when she received a message. She smiles seeing a viber message from the prince of Royalties Hotel.

"I am just checking on my emails. You may call me now," is her reply to Thirdy's viber message.

In less than two minutes her phone vibrates for a viber call. "Good evening, Ms. Monteiro," Thirdy greeted as soon as she accepts the call. She froze a bit seeing Thirdy fresh from a shower, now in white shirt and drying his wet hair.

"How are you, Thirdy." She greeted back while trying so hard not to let Thirdy noticed his effect on her.

"I just got home. Marami pang guest sa Royalties eh. Some of the participants extended their stay after the convention. Ikaw lang yata ang umalis agad after last night." Thirdy said.

"I need to come home. And my decision not to extend my stay is right. My Dad flew to Munich because of an issue on the branch expansion." Althea replied.

"Is everything all right now?" Thirdy asked.

"I had a talk with Daddy earlier, mukhang okay naman na yung issue," Althea replied.

"Sobrang sipag talaga ng Daddy mo. Imagine, you have people in Munich to attend to situations like that but he still chooses to be on top of it." Thirdy said.

"Kaya nga pinagalitan ko si Harol kanina eh. He is the Area Manager he should be the one on top of the situation and not the MGOC President himself. Ang liit na bagay ipinarating pa nila sa office of the president." Althea said.

"Wag mo nang isipin yun, sabi mo naman na-resolve na ni Daddy mo." Thirdy said.

"By the way, thank you daw sa mga padala nyo ni Tita Dei, sabi ni Mommy. As usual halos ayaw mamigay ni Nathan dun sa pinsalubong mong dried mango coated with chocolate. Dapat pala hindi ko muna binigay sa kanya lahat nung packs." Althea said.

"Favorite kasi yun ng mga kapatid mo, lalo na si Nathan." Thirdy commented.

"You are right. Mabuti na lang you pack it individually para walang away. Which reminds me, bakit yung mga kapatid ko lang ang may dried mango with chocolate, favorite ko rin ah." Althea complained.

"Have you unpacked all your stuff?" Thirdy asked.

"Not yet, kahit kasi wala ako sa Munich, napagod pa rin ako sa issue nila dun." Althea replied.

"May isiningit akong three packs sa hand carry bag mo. Naisip ko rin kasi na malamang hindi ka bigyan ng mga kapatid mo, so I make sure na meron ka rin." Thirdy said.

Without a word Althea immediate took her hand carry bag and dig in to it to check the dried mangoes with chocolate, Thirdy was talking about. "I found it." She exclaimed. "Thank you, Dear." She said and it was too late before she realized what she said as Thirdy is now obviously surprised hearing from her their term of endearment when they were still together.

"What did you just call me?" Thirdy asked.

"Sige na pahinga ka na, sabi mo napagod ka dahil sa dami ng guests sa Royalties." Althea said and Thirdy just chuckles.

"I will do that after you answer my question." Thirdy said.

"It was just a slip of the tongue, Thirdy. It does not mean anything." Althea said.

"Pagbalik ko sa Sunday mag-uuwi ako ng ng sampung kahon ng dried mangoes with chocolate at para sa iyo lang lahat yun." Thirdy said. "I missed how you call me then, mi amore." He suddenly said.

"Sunday? I thought you are not flying back in Manila on Sunday." Althea asked.

"I will now, sabi ni Mommy, I don't need to stay." Thirdy replied.

"I thought you want to help her." Althea said.

"She already asked someone to do it for her. Therefore I can fly back to Manila with Reb and Santino on Sunday. Can I see you on Sunday, mi amore?" Thirdy asked.

"Please stop calling me that." Althea said.

"But I thought okay na tayo." Thirdy then said.

"Di ba sabi ko I will fix things first with Harold before natin pag-usapan yung tungkol sa ating dalawa?" Althea said. "I don't want to be a two-timer, I want to break-up first with Harold." She added.

"So when do you plan to do that? Are you going back to Italy just to break up with him?" Thirdy asked.

"I don't know, Thirdy. Hindi ko pa alam kung ano ang gagawin ko. With the current issue in Munich, ayoko munang bigyan ng additional worries si Harold. It will be very unfair to him." Althea said.

"It will be more unfair to him if you will not tell him about your feelings." Thirdy said. "Pero hindi kita kukulitin, Thea, I promise to wait until you fix things with Harold and I intend to keep that promise." He added.

"Thank you, Thirdy." Althea uttered.

"Mahal kita eh, kaya hihintayin kita." Thirdy declared.

"Thank you for loving me. Thank you for not giving up on me." Althea said.

"I will never give up on you, Thea." Thirdy said when he heard a sound of a request for a video chat. "Is that Harold?" he asked.

"Yes, sinabi ko kasi sa kanya to call me as soon as he's free." Althea said.

"The hang-up now and take that. I'll just call you tomorrow." Thirdy said.

After their exchanges of goodnights, Althea hangs up and accepted the video chat request of Harold. "Hello, Sweet." The latters vibrantly greeted.

"Are you busy, you are an hour late from you usual call." Althea said.

"I'm sorry, Sweet. I was with your Dad, earlier and it is only now that I got freed up." Harold explained. "By the way, I told your Dad about my request for transfer." He adde.d

"What did he tell you?" Althea asked.

"He said, he'll see what he can do," Harold replied.

"Are you free to talk now?" Althea asked.

"We still have five minutes to talk." Harold replied.

"But the five minutes is already up." Althea said.

"Then, let's hang-up now. The president might need something from me." Harold said.

"Don't you want to hear stories about the five days convention? " Althea asked.

"Not this time, Sweet. I have to attend to the needs of the President." Harold replied. "Wait for my call tomorrow, goodbye, Sweet. I love you and I missed you so much." Harold said then quickly went off line.

Althea releases a huge sigh as she failed again in her plan of talking to Harold about their relationship. She wonders how Harold will take the break-up and she sincerely hopes that she will have the chance to do it as soon as possible time.
