48 - Weird Cravings

Thirdy and Althea prefers to live in Nuvali since it is near at the Monteiro Mansion. Thirdy wants Althea to easily reach her family whenever she feels like seeing them.

The morning sickness of Althea manifest as soon as they moved to Nuvali and her first tri-semester of her pregnancy is not as easy as she expect it to be. She thought her Dad Daniel is only lying the unique cravings of pregnant women. She finds it weird to like foods she previously hated. And aside from eating foods she hates before her pregnancy she is now clingier with Thirdy. She hates it whenever Thirdy leaves her sight. There were times she goes to Royalties Hotel just to be with Thirdy. She files the indefinite leave at work that was suggested by her Dad Daniel and she at first refused to avail.

Althea's weird behavior did not last long. She was very thankful one day she wakes up with her morning sickness and weird cravings. But she was not happy at Thirdy's sudden change of behavior. Her husband is very lazy to go to work and prefers to stay at home and sleep the whole day. Everytime she asked him, Thirdy will complain about dizziness and a bit of bodyache.

She also noticed an unbelievable likeness of Thirdy with sweets and she finds it weird as Thirdy does not have sweet tooth. He likes to eat his toast with ice cream and his bagels, chips, popcorn and fruits with honey.

"Mommy, what will I do? Wala naming lagnat si Thirdy pero ayaw bumangon at mas gustong matulog maghapon. Everytime na tatanungin ko, nahihilo daw sya at mabigat ang katawan kaya mas gustong nakahiga lang." Althea said when she had a video chat with Laura and Allie to seek help for Thirdy's strange behavior.

"Let him rest, baka naman sobrang napagod sa work sa Royalties. I heard peak season nila ngayon tapos lagi ka pang sumasama sa kanya sa work. Dumagdag ka sa stress nya." Allona uttered.

"Pero two days na akong hindi sumasama sa kanya sa Royalties, Mommy," Althea objected.

"Baka naman naglilihi," Laura uttered.

"That is possible," Allona seconded.

"Excuse, mothers, ako po ang buntis. Ako ang naglilihi." Althea objected.

"But there were instances na ang husband ang naglilihi," Allona said.

"How can it be, Mama? Ano yun nalipat yung paglilihi ko kay Thirdy?" Althea commented.

"Honestly, wala namang scientific explanation dyan. Kung meron man, malamang hindi ko pa nababasa. Anyway, may kasabihan kasi ang mga mga matatanda na kapag ang isang tao nakihati sa pagkain ng naglilihi, nagiging antukin yung tao." Laura said.

"Meron din akong narinig na kapag hinakbangan ng wife yung husband nya, lilipat yung paglilihi sa husband nya. Pero as Laura said wala rin akong nabasang scientific explanation dyan," Allona uttered.

"You mean, pwedeng nalipat kay Thirdy yung paglilihi ko? With all honesty, I thought the whole first tri-semester will be very hard for me, pero ilang weeks lang yung weird cravings and behavior ko. Ilang araw na ring okay ang pakiramdam ko." Althea said.

"Basta ako, naniniwala akong si Thirdy ang naglilihi since you said he is behaving really weird," Allona commented.

"Not only his behavior, Mama, pati yung mga gustong kainin. I have craving too but not as weird as Thirdy's. He likes ice cream in his toast at kapag walang ice cream, nagsisimangot." Althea said.

"Malamang naglilihi nga ang asawa mo," Laura declared.

"Paano malilipat ulit sa akin yung paglilihi, hindi pwedeng lagi syang ganito. He needs to go out and work. Alangan naman dalawa kaming naka-indefinite leave sa mga trabaho namin," Althea uttered.
